My own JK 'Big Brake' research:

Those are Metalcloak's 6-pack shocks. IMO, well designed and well-built, designed to given great up and down travel in a compact shock. I've been accused of being foolish for trying something...how was it described to me..."gimmicky"... but I'm excited to put them through their paces. And 15 years ago, cell phones were "gimmicky"...lol :yup:

I am piecing together MetalCloak sliders and fenders on my TJ. keep looking at the 6 pack shocks..... Please let me know how they work out for you I am very interested in them.....

Current mini-projects: the brakes, and my battery mod (to fit a huge group 31 battery in the factory spot). Looks like a fun night!

odd topic... Did you actually fit locking hubs on a 5x5 bolt pattern?

And yep can't wait for the improved braking, I recently replaced my rear rotors & pads but am holding off on touching the fronts :bowdown:

He's running a Spyntec Hub Conversion kit, same as me. It's 5x5.5 pattern.

After putting in the Bilstein 5100s that came with my pitiful little 2.5" AEV lift. I can say, I will NEVER go through the finger contortions required to do that again. If the Metalcloak shocks mean I don't have to fit an allen wrench and a box wrench in that tiny, sharp sided space again I will pay any price. Who the hell designed these things? The factory shocks had a nut welded to the shock tube to put a wrench on. Bilstein thought an hex socket on the top of the pin was a good idea.

After about three or four installs actually a person gets a method to it!!

Just get the Kings and you will have no worries. They just use a one big nut at the top. All you need is just one flat wrench to install in a breeze :)

So how did that group 31 install go? I have a 31 blue top in mine. Mine is awful tight. But considering a revamp once winter breaks.

Subscribed, can't wait to see what comes of this. Getting ready to put the wife's JK on some 37's, but want to make sure she can stop first.

I hate to bud in.. but guys.. stop asking him, he's a family man and he's trying to work on in as fast as he can. When he has everything in line and ready, im know he's going to let us know as soon as he can. I'm anxious just as much as you guys, im running big tires and my 4 door doesn't stop worth a shait as well..
