Hinrichs 2.0

Just run a tap splicer into the wiring behind the cig lighter...that's what I did to hard wire my radar detector. Then you'll still have use of the socket if need be.

Still think I need to calibrate the fridge, but it did a good job over the weekend keeping my drinks and food cold while I was watching our local hill climb.

Finally found a home for the monitor which I am happy with. Have the fridge set to 31 or 29 I think. If I stop being lazy, and decide to pull apart the dash a little I may cut off the end of the cig adapter for the remote monitor and hardwire it so I dont have to have it plugged in all the time.

I recently chunked my rear view mirror for a camera and tapped into the steering column for the wire that's only hot when the keys on. It was the easiest way to get the hot wire I wanted and didn't require taking my whole dash apart. I'm always afraid I'm going to break some tab when I do that and have to listen to a rattling dash from then on.

So did you get each other anything to celebrate?

Ended up ordering the rear rockhard cage tie in bar, and the evo mini liners just to clean up the fender wells a little more. I was getting tired of looking at the insulation and also I ran some wires on the one side for the rock lights and wouldnt mind them being slightly protected.

That was my plan, and prolly what I will do once I get some different wire taps than what I have currently.

Lol I did break one clip in the center of the radio panel which annoys me since the surround does not sit correctly anymore. But I think it was that way before I broke the clip.

Someday if I ever pull the whole thing out I want to paint it white to match my jeep. I planned to do that when I installed it back into the 4 door but was lazy lol.

Bad picture, but got my front windows tinted to match the rears which I have wanted to have done for a while. Was $80 which wasn't bad and the guy fit me in and it took 30 minutes.

Gonna paint them this weekend if I have time, and need to figure out the hose routing for both sides for the coilover res and they will be installed. I will admit they are kinda dumb but I like how it cleans up the wheel well since I am not running stock trimmed liners.

Also in the picture it's not mounted properly.

Ha
" They are kinda dumb but I like "

I painted the liners over the weekend, and did some minor trimming per the instructions to help the coilover res line clear....well it still doesnt so I will be trimming the liners instead of hacking away at the plastic even more.

In other news, I ordered an install kit to finally throw in my alpine head unit that I pulled from my Audi. I am not sure if I will end up keeping it tho since I was mixed on it in the Audi, maybe it will be better in the jeep. I just need to decide on a back up camera...which is really the only reason I will be installing it. If my satellite service didnt run out, I would probably just keep the factory unit. The one I have is this below, and runs off your phone.

So last night I went about fitting the alpine unit, it's nice how easy the radio comes out in our jeeps. I need to work on it again tonight and run some more wires and such for the sub so I can hook it up the correct way, and also tuck wires and figure out a better USB location but it's in. Also need to order a back up camera as well.

Camera ordered as well, and will be here tomorrow. I am undecided where I will mount it, but thinking on top of the evo fascia between the lights, or maybe somewhere on the carrier.
