Who is going to KOH 2014?

I think little Mel is going to be at the top in a few years running with the big dogs. He did a good job. Starting young and learning fast. Although you guys had a tough week, you guys did a great job and I hope to make it next year to cheer you on. It was fun watching

Agreed. Looks like he is learning the right way. Unlike some other high profile young racers...cough...cough...Wayland Campbell*....cough...cough.

*In his defense I've never met the kid, but seeing his commercial at the KOH event I have to say he appears to be a very spoiled young dipshit. Typical rich Vegas trash. Hopefully I am wrong. In his "during the race" interview he seemed like a decent kid. I hope he turns out to be an okay kid.

Mel led a few of us on a 50 mile run of the racecourse. Showing where a few of the incidents happened.

We saw the curve where Melvin rolled EVO1K.

We saw how far they drove with a flat tire (30 miles). Where they had to stop, at the bottom of Aftershock because it's hard to climb rocks when one tire is totally gone. This is where they were able to borrow a tire from a fellow racer (it's good to have friends).

A fun little ledge at the beginning of Aftershock. We just went to start of this trail.

This is one of the toughest of the Aftershock obstacles to climb.

It was a great tour of a small part of the course.

^^^that must have been an awesome tour. It shows great perspective to have people standing on the obstacles.

Russ and I actually talked to wayland up at jackhammer on Thursday while waiting for EVOTJ. They were trying to find out where Shannon broke down. Everything I've seen he seems pretty humble.

Very nice! I'm super envious.

I have to say...having spent only a week with them during the 2012 JKX and dealing with them for various parts for Knuckles...the Wade family is one of the nicest families you will ever meet. They give so much back to the sport. Why anybody would talk bad about them is beyond my understanding.

Here is to a great 2014 season! I hope to have the opportunity to hook up with them again soon. :yup:

Shit I should have stayed one more day.

Cool! I hope he is! He certainly can drive! :thumb:

I've just seen too many Vegas kids turn out to be total douche bags. Money and fame early in life is tough on youngsters. Of course I've had neither so maybe I'm biased. :cheesy:

He's from Arizona. ;)

You mean the commercials <hype> where some of the drivers are acting it out a bit, taking jabs at eachother? They were shown on the live feed and there was commentary about why they were done. All in good jest between competitors. Playful fun.

Lows:
Watching Dynatrac work on an ORE customer rig right after the main race. Yes this was in the highs ( for outstanding service) but it is in the lows as well. Nobody in their right freaking mind should be talking to guys still in their race suits about how their rear locker isn't working right after the race. Get a fucking clue. I don't care if you spent $500 pr $50,000 at ORE you do not bug the team right after the race, especially with a DNF, to look at your locker air line because it won't engage. I get asking if your jeep won't move, but even then ask an hour or two later. Not cause your locker won't engage. For future reference even if they offer to take a look say no and take it later. It's not always about you. Rant over.

Incredible tacky.

WOW - WHAT A WEEK!!!

I want to thank everyone who came out to support the Discount Tire / ORE race team and especially all of the volunteers! We could not have done any of this without all of you! While our results were not we had hoped, we are moving in the right direction as a team and we are looking forward to the rest of the 2014 season!!!
