The building of Bison

It’s never done...

It’s odd, they clear at a static or slow flex, but rub when moving down the trail.

That doesn’t make sense. Air pressure have anything to do with? Tire deformation?

That’s unfortunate... I like those jack stands! They are huge!

Nothings ever easy...

Those AC delco jack stands the great. I can get more than full droop front or rear with them and I feel safe being under it. They are rock solid.

I was running 15 psi on the trail when they were rubbing and road pressure when I was testing it and it cleared. They started rubbing when I was going 10-15 mph down the trail with some decent bumps.

Regardless, I have a ton of room behind the tires to clear in the wells and my UCAs are 100% in so if I can break them loose, I’ve got room there to push the axle back.

You can see how far forward it is in these two shots. These were at 15 psi.

It will also help my departure angle a bit too.

With static flex, your bumpstops will never compress all the way like they will on a big hit at speed.

To truly know your clearance, you would have to take the rubber bumps out and go metal to metal. That's what they do when you hit something hard.

Yeah, the videos I’ve seen where they do that is pretty cool. The set the diff in paint to make a perfectly straight line to cut in. I’m not sure if that’s how fusion does it, but it was a pretty cool process

I’d doubt they’re doing it the manual way. I’ve done it and it’s a total pain in the ass. I’m sure they throw it on a mill and fly cut it so it’s perfectly flat and takes a fraction of the time. Just a hunch though. Your Jeep is looking awesome by the way though. :thumb:

I would agree.

Thank you!

Very good point. That’s probably why it rubs at speed.

Thank you!

I’ll try again this evening now that everything has soaked for a bit. We’ll see

I'm sure you'll have it all fixed in no time. It's one if the things I enjoy about this forum. Seams like most guys are on it. No one gives up and parks the jeep beside the barn.
