Rebuilt of a Billet Silver mall crawler

Cleaned my shocks a little yesterday. Not perfect but I did manage to get a lot of oxidation of and bring the shine back some. Looks good at the mall [emoji41], not fun at all to do though.

Looks nice! Did you put any kind of protectant on them? I waxed my Kings pretty good which look like they have a similar finish (basically none). ORE said they use a spray on wax on theirs to try to keep them relatively clean. I may even throw my old Foxes back on for the worst parts of winter. I really hate taking mine out in that damn salt shit anymore. Between the wheels and now the shocks that shit just eats everything up.

I just spray some WD-40 on them and also the entire undercarriage. I get the big blast can with the big nozzle and go to town. Usually spray once every month or two, Little more often in winter time (at least try). I also get to the car wash and wash the undercarriage after snow storms to get all the fucking salt off.

Ever try this stuff? Its doesn't dry out and its pretty thick. Or fluidfilm works good.

Had a fun family day with my brother yesterday. I finally dragged his butt out to come wheeling with me. It only took me 3 years to convince him [emoji849]

Pretty tight squeeze by the shock reservoir at full lock, I might move it back on top of spring bucket to avoid ripping it off with the tire

Bumps set up perfectly [emoji108] coils almost completely collapsed [emoji854]

Also finally figured out why my arb twin was limping. Popped one fo the fuses and it was running as a single for like 2 months lol

After a day of wheeling stopped to top her of at a gas station. Looked down to see a puddle of red fluid on the ground that lined up perfectly under my transmission pan. Thankfully it wasn’t my fluid, I freak out for a little bit.

Looks like you guys had a blast in the badlands! How’d the Big bore work out for you? It was really crowded at Bundy, too many ATVs and dirt bikes so We jetted around 2. Thought I was going to kill a kid cresting some of those hills.
