Rebuilt of a Billet Silver mall crawler

I don't know, it only leaks on one side. If I do have to reseat, how do I go about that? Should I try to get the pan and skid up at the same time?

I apologize if I missed it but did you remove your oil pan? You should have been able to install the skid without having to pull it.

No, I didnt pull the pan off. I don't remember bumping it either. I also drained the oil to do it. I might have damaged the seal by trying to press the bend out...

That's possible. It might also be possible that a little oil is getting through the bolt holes. I would try cleaning everything up with some brake cleaner, go for a short drive or just run the engine and try to get a better idea of where the leak is coming from. Small steps will help you to make a better decision as to what you do from here.

I got it cleaned up and I have to keep an eye on it for few days to make a decision. Maybe it has to do with the heat and rtv. Maybe it shrank a little and that little more torque I did today might of helped 🤞.

In the even that I do have to pull the pan off and reseal. Should I put put both pan and skid up at the same time? It makes more sense than setting the pan, waiting few days and then backing the bolts back out.

Yes, that would make more sense to me.

If you do have pull it off. Get a couple bolts that match the oil pan bolt thread but longer, cut the head off and put them in holes across from each other. Will help line everything up as you put the real bolts it.

Did not have an issue with mine other then two stripped bolt heads. No leaks so far after 3 k miles. Have new bolts seating, need to get easy out kit.
Let us know the outcome.

Def do both together, like black pearl said would help, I wonder if ARP would have studs you could put in the block then use nuts? Would be a good time to double check the bend with a straight edge to make sure it pulled down straight too possibly. Not sure why it would have leaked? Bummer man

It seems that the leaks has stopped itself just under the first 100miles after the skid install. I just retorqued the bolts and will keep an eye on it for couple more days then proceed with the trans skid

Got the trans skid installed today.

Unfortunately I won't be able to install crossover member skid due to having a rancho exhaust drop pipe hanging a bit too low.

I am just gonna have to rely on the factory crossover skid/brace and hope it'll do a good job protecting my crossover pipe for now.

I should have just got an aftermarket front driveshaft instead of listening to AEV instructions of modifying the exhaust crossover pipe. I guess we learn on our mistakes [emoji854]. I am debating on getting a new Y pipe to make the skid work. I didn't even look how much are they but my guess it that its not cheap.
The rest of the exhaust is protected by AEV drop CA brackets, until I upgrade to long arms.....

I am hoping to get my new steering links assembled and installed tomorrow

Those 2.5 ton TRE's and cartridges are massive ( I have big hands by the way lol)

Also tomorrow my PSC XDII steering box will arrive. I am hoping to get this done on a weekend writhing a next month. Might be a decent size job. I have no idea how to do it yet, need to to some research. Hopefully the box will come with some kind of instructions on it. Last Friday I received the flushing oil and power steering fluid to switch over to new fluid with the new box. Hopefully all goes well 🤞

Looks like a lot of work! Is this the replacement exhaust?

Yes it is, it hangs about 3/4" below the trans crossmember...... shouldn't be too bad to replace the y pipe of I decide to go that way. I can disconnect at intermediate pipe and drop the back half on the hangers to get it out of the way to be able to switch out the y pipe, the joints pretty accessible form underneath.
