Rausch creek trip 9/21-9/22 (mild blues/green trails only)

I'll be bringing hotdogs again and probably deli meat for sandwiches and if I remember this time I'll bring smores stuff

The joys of a 2 door....

Im sitting here trying to figure out how to fit
A cooler
A tent
A tarp
An air matress
2 sleeping bags
A recovery bag
A back pack
And 2 dogs into my jeep

Any suggestions?

be sure to leave the air out of the mattress :cheesy:

Is anyone bringing some sort of magical hot dog cooking tool?

Yeh hopefully I also remember something to cook em with since Nubs won't be around with his medieval torture device

I was going to bring a little charcoal grill if it's allowed. What does everyone do for dinner as far as cooking?

I know it's gonna be great hanging by the fire with hotdogs, smores and what not and I'm really looking forward to it.
On the other hand, every time we come to Rausch, on Friday night we went to this family restaurant down the road(10 min) called the red lion café, a JKF guy took me there once and we've been going there ever since, reasonable prices and decent food.
Not to take away from the camping experience but an alternative.

Red Lion is darn tasty and incredibly easy on the wallet.

Grills are allowed and there some of those large metal charcoal grills mounted into the ground near our campsite that you can use. Some folks cook on propane grills, some bring charcoal for the free grill, some cook over the campfire, some just make a sandwich out of the cooler, some go out to eat. It's really up to you. Worst case, I think you can get pizza delivery or you can grab some burger king & reflame-broil your whopper over the camp fire! :D

Okay so I spent like two hours reading this whole thread! :) I'm a strong maybe for wheeling Sat, but won't be camping. I'll drive up Sat morn, wheel, hang out at the campsite for a while after with everyone, then be driving back due to a "negative nancy" fiance who doesn't wana camp. :banghead: He's never been wheeling to know how awesome it is with awesome people! I have a stock JKUR and it's my DD, so I can't afford to break anything. :)

Yay! Glad you'll be joining us. If its just camping that's holding him up, the comfort inn up the street has very reasonable rates for RC visitors.

I'm so ready for next weekend! cant wait. Anyone know what time we will be getting started on saturday? I just need to figure out what time to be there by.
