Not sure. I went tight and then backed off about a half turn. Still tighter than stock but no rattles so far for over a year.

I have a question about my EVO tire carrier. The tire doesn’t reach the carrier or the bump stop on the tailgate and the mount is as close to the carrier as it goes.
It’s solid as can be so I’m assuming my tires are too small? I’m running 285s on slabs
