That’s the factory position. You can route it up behind the headlight at the header if you’re worries about it.

I don’t know where we were talking about this, maybe it was this thread but I put the new tires in and it made me look at the carrier.
My tire doesn’t touch on the passenger side but it does on the bottom and on the driver side bumper. It is solid and doesn’t bounce. Just thought I would let you know since you were asking.

Thanks Adam, I never thought to check the bottom, it stayed solid the whole 930 Miles to Drummond and back. I thought next time I took it off I would slip the rubber coupler back on the factory bump spacer. What tires did you put on?
