Getting ready

Getting ready for next weekend Synergy Flip kit installation. Borrowed a Caliper from a friend to make sure I drill the knuckle to .73 at the top of the knuckle. Of course it all rides on what the dealership says first. Took in the Jeep for another round of engine issues, a weird door open issue and automatic lock freaking out when locking. Hope there all covered under warranty!!! :fingerscrossed:

What is going on with the automatic locks?

So when I hit the button to lock the doors what should happen is the locks flop to lock or unlock. What's happening on my rig, the passenger side flops multiple times open to close and then it locks. I've actually seen it not lock due to this rapid flopping. When I dropped off the Jeep at the Dodge dealership, asking the service guy if this is normal, which his reply was no. So I've got it in for three issues. When stopping from say 50mph, should go down to about 700rmp but fluctuates between 700-1200 and actually had my Jeeps engine feel like the engines pistons are out of sync. The last thing I brought it in for is when I have the key on right before turning on the engine. So all the lights on the dash broad is on and I have the stereo turned on. When I am listening to the radio and the base is hitting the lights in the cab turn on and the dash board is saying there is a door open. I showed all three items to the service guy, which makes his life easier.

Hope there all covered. :fingerscrossed:

how the hell does that happen? short of breaking a crankshaft

That's what it felt like. The ETC light did come on last year. From that code the ideal air control/ throttle body was not feeding the amount of air into the engine and the mixture of gas was not correct. Which felt like the pistons where not synced together. At least that's what I was told by a mechanic at work. I also noticed when slowing down from a speed the rpm is fluctuating.

I say you name your rig "Christine" lol seems fitting

You know, I actually haven't named my Jeep yet.....This would be suiting. My prior Jeep name was Big bird after sesame street. A co-worked named it since it was yellow. Not sure what my wife would think :D
