Meet up with this guy in Valencia this morning to pick up the EVO long arms. There brand new arms but a little dirty and need to be taken apart to be cleaned. I might just do that today??? :thumb: Driving home got into Fresno merging onto the 168, this guy in front of me sporting a double muffler. The Y was a good 6" away from the back of the mufflers, passed the rear wheels. Just had to take a picture of this..:cheesy:

If they are brand new why is it necessary to take them apart to clean?

I guess the guy left them outside in the rain.........Not sure why they where left outside but there is a little bit of rust. There was rapping still around the arms that I took off and there not scared or any wear marks in the joints.

Either way, I purchased them for $750. Drew said the brackets are going to cost $700 and other $1300 to install it. I personally think its a good price. :thumb:

If they don't have any real gouges in the paint on the arms, odds are they weren't wheeled and the joints should be just fine. 750 is a great deal :thumb:

I appreciate that Chris. Well if they where used then I'm sure EVO will tell me when I drop them off in a few months.... :grayno:

Nothing wrong with them being used. It won't make any difference unless they have some kind of damage.

EVO arms Cleaned

Cleaned up the EVO arms good. Wiped them down, greased them up and ready for install.

Reamer

Walked into work this morning and sitting waiting for me was a 1.5" per foot tapered reamer bit. Looks like my flip kit is on schedule  If your reading this Overlander, did you say I can take out my axle shaft with no issues right? I just need to tip the axle to one side so the fluid doesnt come out of the seal? Sucks really............Just three weeks ago I had this whole damn thing apart. Another round of torquing..

I'll take that as a yes. Tip the axle to one side so the fluid in the differential doesn't flow outside of the seal into the axle tube. Take out the shaft so I can take off the knuckle.

No, no fluid is in the shafts. You don't have to tip it to one side of the other. If your seals are in tact then you don't need to do any tilting.

The only way there will be diff fluid in your tubes is if your inner seal is shot. If it is you'll know by looking at your tire everyday and seeing it leaking out.

I appreciate it Adam. :thumb:
