It's Time to SUPERSIZE Moby - MoTech 6.2L LS Jeep Motor Swap

they still have to convert the front end to 8-lugs as well, and i believe once they get Moby running it will need to go to a Smog referee to get new badging to state the new motor and smog BS is all legit.

What is left to do?

-convert the front axle to 8-lug
-install new wheels and tires
-convert the driveshafts
-reinstall the EVO sliders
-install the exhaust (hopefully on monday)
-TEST DRIVE!! :wings:

basically make sure there isnt any overheating issues. if there is, fix them, then moby will be ready to roll

Based on what we have now seen in person on RESQ1 on the JKX and on Moochie's Jeep, we will for sure have overheating issues with the kit as is.... but Mel has some pretty cool ideas on how to solve them. :yup: We will take Moby out for a few tests to confirm the issue, then take it back in to Off Road Evolution for some EVO upgrades. :D

plus burn the rock rails back on, looks silly with the stock rubi rails on it now.

yup. :)

What kind of things has he done to keep Evo 1 cool?

Big ass trans cooler and big ass radiator :D

Just to compare...
Top is a stock JK radiator
Middle is EVO1's trans cooler
Bottom is EVO1's radiator

Back to EVO for what kind of upgrades?

Dang :O that's a lot of fans hopefully it's not gonna be too loud for you guys!

Those pics show what EVO1 is using, not what we will be using in Moby, although it will probably be something similar.

Those fans are gonna move a whole lot of air! Does all that fit where the stock rad sat?

No, all that will not fit in the stock location. EVO1 had some major modifications done in order to fit that huge radiator in:

And the trans cooler is mounted in back:

Mel has some different ideas for Moby. :D

17" Slabs

So I saw the photo on ORE's Facebook page of Moby wearing his new minimalist track shoes ;) Are you needing some time to adjust to the new look of more sidewall on your main squeeze? What about the rings, staying raw or going to powder coat? Moby is looking great as always, no matter the rim size

I haven't actually seen it in person yet, but I like what I see in the pic. :yup: Staying raw with the rings this time.

That would be the pic! You guys have just a little bit of rake in that photo ;) I can't wait to see the final product roll out of the shop!

Nothing a little adjustment to the coil overs can't fix :D

We can't wait either.

Are moby's old wheels and tires going on Rubicat? If so are you going to regear the front prorock44 or the rear prorock 60?

Is it an illusion or is the rear rim smaller than the front? If not, what is the purpose?
