End of Summer - East Coast Uwharrie Run

Just curious... what percentage of the folks going are lifted vs stock??? I know the later in the season you go the more difficult (more erosion) the trails get, but I haven't been out there in years... or ever with my current Jeep. Thanks!

I'm assuming it isn't too bad, based on some YouTube videos I watched about this place. I'll have a rock Krawler 2.5" lift by then. I hope it's enough. Plus I do have to drive it back to Florida.

I'm gonna say probably about 90% are already lifted at the moment. Just a guess but some of the spots do get sketchy if you are stock

I'm gonna be running a Rock Krawler 2.5 inch lift too. Which one are you going with?

As an early birthday gift, my wife ordered the stock mod. To finish it I ordered extended brake lines and bump stops. From what I've read on here, it's more than likely I won't need any control arms at that height. Just in case though, I'll order s set of adjustable lower control arms. The lift won't be here until the end of this month. I'm hoping I can have it on before our Georgia trip in June. I'm sure something will brake or need to be replaced before then with my luck lol.

I plan on getting the max travel system. How do you like it?

I like it a lot it's very stable on the interstate as well I can cruise at 85 with no sway. My only complaint is the rear end feels a little rough when I hit bumps in the road but I think it's because my rear is light (no bumper, back seats or full size spare tire) I had it loaded down for camping last weekend and it felt a lot smoother with the weight.

Awesome! Thanks man!

I thought that I should post a list of things that I think are essential to bring on this trip. Some are obvious and some maybe not so much. They are listed in no particular order:

Water! It's gonna be hot and humid!

Snacks. I prefer protein like nuts and jerky

A cooler for water and other (non alcoholic in park) drinks

Sunscreen. Something with a nice balance between "skin cancer at bay" and "caramel brown tan" lol

Bug spray. Uwharrie is mosquito filled.

Spare fluids. Oil, ATF, diff fluid, coolant, etc.

Spare parts if you have any

First aid kit

Tools! I have an electric impact wrench, valve core remover, etc

Tow straps and tree savers

And last but not least a camera!

This is just a short list! You can add whatever you think you may need as I'm sure I've left one or two or more things out

How much of each fluid should I bring? I'm assuming enough to change it all out, which I pray doesn't happen lol

It's usually good to have a full 6 quarts of motor oil (or less just to get off the trail), 2 quarts of diff fluid (1 quart for each axle which is enough to get you off the trail) and a few quarts of atf.

Thank you sir. Compiling a list now.

Is there anywhere off the trail to order/buy parts if something does break

I doubt it. I was up there recently. This is just National Park trails. Really no support. If it got real bad, we might be able to get some help from some of the companies that do training nearby. That would be a long shot though.

I guess stock up on nuts and bolts

I know I've said this before, but man I can't wait for this. I've just accepted the fact that if I break something it's just time to upgrade lol.
