Edit: After driving this Jeep and being able to suck the front end down its given me some ideas. I think Im gonna see what I can do on the JK to be able to suck it down in the front because it felt like that thing would climb anything if the front end was pulled way down.

Go figure that obstacle completely misses all of your armor and hits the hood.

Grubbicon Build Thread

About time! I have seen this beast in action! I am starting my build and Always go to Grubbicon for advice on parts and install!

Havent worked on the JK in awhile. I need to stop having fun and get back to it. Today my MasterCraft Rubicon seats showed up. I got 2 for now. After seeing how they go may end up putting 4 race seats in it or moving the fronts to the back. I got the driver seat with the CamelBack, but the others are just plain.

Been making up for all that wheeling time I have missed, but I plan to get back at it here shortly. Today I did do a little even though it wasnt much. Ended up cutting more of the Cs off so I have clearance for the ORIs. It looks like I have plenty of room now and shouldnt have to mess with it anymore.

Finally started to mess with the ORIs on the front of the jeep. Had to clean up both sides of the frame and take a bit more of the factory coil buckets off the top of the frame. Started cutting on the one mount and I think I have it fitting pretty close to how it should on the frame. Looks like it needs to come down just a tad bit more though.

I figured. My buddy has 16s in the front and he had to basically redo the engine compartment. It sure does flex but was a sh*tload of work. I know another guy who used 12s like that and it works well too

I have a buddy running 16s as well front and rear and it defiantly does amazing. Top of the towers actually hit the bottom of the hood. Is your buddy triangulated 4 link?

His rear is triangulated 4 link, front is 3 link as he wanted to keep steering box. And ya his are only about 1/8" from hood

Im amazed you can run that much travel and not run into problems with the draglink. Id assume probably had to notch the hell out the frame?

I can't remember if he did but I dont think so. I could be wrong. I know he moved the steering box fwd and stretched it front and rear, it's a 2 door. He's running same axles as you and I know everything is very close tolerance wise.

Thats crazy if he didnt have to. I wasnt going to be surprised if I had to but its look like I should be good.
