What was done to your rig this week?

finally wrapped up some upgrades, handles great.
In the very near future, I need to tackle rebuilding the coilovers.

I put alignment marks on the steering/pitman arm along with strapping the wheel in place, also put alignment marks on the knuckles using stock drag link/tie rod.
New parts went in using the marks on the pitman and knuckle, drag link zeroed in on the first shot, no adjustment needed.
tie rod adjusted in at 1/16 toe in with little adjustment 👍
maybe karma took pity for the Friday the 13th shit show.

New drag link and tie rod?

JL was out for two weeks, blew out rear diff somehow!!!!! Locker just fell into pieces.Used the opportunity to regear to 4:88 , new ball joints, drive shafts (sat in my garage shop just threw it on) general maintenance, grease joints e t c
For those of you who has 4:10 gears on 37’s it makes so much difference to go to 4:88.Do it!!!

Doing some general cleanup and maintenance and noticed how badly these joints have rusted since January.
Both for installed new end of Dec for the New Years Run

Wow, did you drive through areas that have salted roads or something?

Might want to take a wire brush to them with some penetrating oil to clean them up. Maybe apply some antiseize to help protect them too.

I was in Utah after the run but they didn't have any snow while there, I'm guessing maybe road residue salt from the previous snow falls.

I'm wondering if I PB blast them, remove the nuts and take a wire wheel to clean them up if it will throw the torque off enough to make a difference.

That sounds plausible.

And, I doubt plus or minus a bit will be enough to matter on torque. Either way, the rust looks like it's just on the surface right now. Better to address it before it gets worse.
