Thinking of doing a run on the rubicon - August 19th

Spill kits ordered. ARB fridge arrives tomorrow, toilet/wag bag kit this week. Have the other requirements and a couple snatch blocks. Prob booking a room at the Super 8 or something else cheap for doors/top and night before we start. Like $50 night. Officially excited. I can bring a spare rear drive shaft if needed as it won't fit my set up anymore. Let me know.

let me know what you decide on for a room. I need a room for Sunday night as well. Maybe we can split a room for Monday and Tuesday night to put doors and tops in. Also, I'm wondering if we would be able to fit our hardtops through the doors of a hotel room...lmao. I was planning on running the doors and freedom tops only and swapping on my tube doors and bikini top there. you can pm me if you like

I think Eddie and the group that went last year used this hotel for this reason. Sounds like the floor level rooms have wide back door access. Which sounds a little dirty lol.

How long are you guys planning your trip for. We're hitting the trail the 19th so is everyone heading up early or staying later? I'm not sure what everyone's doing so as of right now I was planning on heading up Sunday and heading back home on Tuesday morning. Nothing is set in stone for me so, I'll change things up if you guys are planning something different.

I think the original plan was to head up Sunday, meet Monday morning in Georgetown, spend two nights on the trail and leave Wednesday sometime. Depending on when we are off the trail would determine when I'm heading home. If early Wed I'll prob head home then, if late my cone home Thursday.

I will be heading up Sunday as well.

I have extra stock drive lines out of my rubi (f/r) if anyone needs one.

We are heading up Saturday, That will give us time to run around Sunday and probably head back toward Vegas on Wednesday.

I'm with him...that's what the original post says is the plan and what I planned for. Ill be up there Sunday sometime and ready to meet in georgetown at 8am and hit the trail. Should be close to done by Tuesday night so we should be off early on Wednesday.

The Plan. Kinda....

We are headed up on saturday. I talked to Jeremy (the gentelman that has ran the trail before). He said to meet up in auburn (he said its the best place to meet up as a big group) on monday morning.

I'm trying to get everyone to meet around 8am monday morning and stomp on the gas at 10. If a few of us are there early then we should meet up sunday night and hang out for a bit.

There will be 2 nights on the trail. We plan on taking it slow and just enjoying the place. Also alowing people to get all the video and pic's that they want. We plan on being off the trail on wed afternoon around 2 or 3.

I'm going to PM everyone my #. Feel free to call at any time.

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to inspect and maintenance your Jeep before the long drive home. The Rubicon is no joke and your rig will get a workout. We usually spend the day after the trail tightening suspension and other bolts, fixing anything that may need a little TLC before hitting the freeway home. :yup:
