The Slimer Build Thread

He is a member here. Joined up within the last month. Don't remember his name though.

Jim. He's a buddy in town. Same tires, same wheels (essentially), has a RK lift with the three link rear that caused him driveshaft issues. It's a nice lift though. He did note that his didn't stuff as well as mine though :)

Thanks EVO!

Thanks to MTG and everyone else who gave tips, advice, and pictorial evidence of pinch seam painting! Need to do the bottom still, but ran out of bedliner and it is hard to tape off with the sliders.

That looks awesome. Hey that isn't sunshine by any chance is it??

Haha, yeah, it is! I don't believe in such things, but I'm starting to think its an Easter miracle! Hahahaha. It's 60 and sunny. Washed Slimer before painting him. It's quite a nice day. If I had time I'd strap on the Trektop NX, but alas, the mother in law is due in a couple hours and there is cleaning to be done...

... but alas, the mother in law is due in a couple minutes and having spent the better part of the day doing manly stuff, including rescuing a child from a rabid dog, I have to go and shower to make myself somewhat presentable.

Fixed it for you.

Got the PowerPlant installed! Must not have made good battery connections with the dinky connectors on the wires because it wouldn't turn on. So I had to improvise...ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1365296685.943213.jpg

looking so nice

Thanks! Also swapped out the tire carrier bolts for the proper 9/16" bolts instead of the 1/2" supplied, cut off my shock boots, and relocated my evap canister two inches away from the driveshaft to keep from touching the driveshaft boot when flexing.
