The building of knuckles

No they don't grow back.....therefore along sections of I-40 and I-10 I'm affectionately known by one of my cb/trucker-handles as "half-nut". Because that's all I have left. I'm only into jeeping because being a part of this crew/thread I feel like I still have a pair. And I await your best replies.....

I got news for you Gregor..."half-nut" not what you are known as (or for) in the truck stops along those corridors. ;) :thumb:

Well, after 45,000+ miles this jeep has yet to see a trailer (prerunning the King of the Hammers was a close on) Although trailering ain't so bad, there have been a few really long distance runs it would have been a nice safety net to have (reference your "1970's big wheel jumping" random photos, I'm still living that lifestyle), so one of these days I am going to have a massive tow truck bill to pay.

That would be nice, but there is just something about driving to, at, and back from the trail. :thumb:

About Colorado, brother I cannot wait to get back up to your state for wheeling. I was without lockers and a transfer case shifter cable the day we ran Carnage Canyon on the 2011 JKX. If I would have had lockers, I was going to manually put it in 4lo and tackle it. That trail is badass and I cannot wait to run it. Cindy piloted Moby up that canyon like a champ and it was cool to be a part of if with the crew! Eventually I will get back there.

Ditto. That is on a bucket list for sure.

The best thing about MTG's thread here, there are 73 other threads constantly going on within it

No kidding huh. I love it! I was offline for a while and came back and had to catch up on my own thread. :cheesy:

That's a great analysis. Always something to discover in this thread. Whether about MTG, his rig or anyone else who chooses to comment. 👍

As for towing, I learned a lesson from one of the JP guys a long time ago. AAA Platinum membership. 300 miles of towing, 3X per year. So if you need a tow home, you have it towed 300 miles and drop it. Call again for another 300 miles. So you can actually get 900 miles of towing for free.

I'm pretty sure AAA will only tow it once for the same issue. I have been a member for a while and that has been the case.

Actually three years ago I had to have them tow me from Virginia to Myrtle Beach. Went 300 miles and had the driver drop it and then called them again. I actually learned this from John Cappa and a couple of others. It's worked for me in the past.
