The building of knuckles

i know they work, but i have never really been a fan of JB weld products... I have used the Loctite plastic epoxy and with a popsicle stick it was easy to put where u need it. sets up pretty quick. u do have the j b already though. try t and if it doesnt work, you have a second option.

Okay. So by tomorrow when I fire up the Keurig I should know if it's working. View attachment 21668

Haha. Mine broke on that same white section, in the same way as yours. I tried glueing it while it was still on the jeep, so the weight of the hose was an issue while waiting for the glue to dry. So I electrical taped a ridiculous contraption around the frame rail, exhaust, etc just to hold the hose straight and in place while the glue cured... Haha

I was thinking about the relocation kit and then thought I could actually reinforce the factory skid with some gussets. Nothing like welding around some exhaust fumes. :)

Mike,

Why not make your own relocating kit? A lot of people around here buy some hose and move it to a better location above the rear axle. A friend moved his for $10.

As dumb as this sounds...

If its ever an issue I could see the dealer making a fuss over the relocation versus just reinforcing the skid. I know...what warranty, right?

We'll see, I might just move it. I'm amazed that I haven't hit it before really.

So the first two looked great! Solid too!

Now I'm fixing the white part.

Like my "workbench?" LOL!

Like I said, a few friends have moved theirs and the Stealer hasn't had any issues so far. But that's here in Colorado.

Stop, just stop! This is a crime scene :icon_crazy: My wife would crush my male parts if I was to have any piece of my jeep on granite counter tops.

I think GCM has kids that are older than ours? Maybe he is proof that they grow back...eventually.

No they don't grow back.....therefore along sections of I-40 and I-10 I'm affectionately known by one of my cb/trucker-handles as "half-nut". Because that's all I have left. I'm only into jeeping because being a part of this crew/thread I feel like I still have a pair. And I await your best replies.....

So that's why you built your jeep. Small man syndrome.

So when are you going to make it to Colorado again to try and hang onto what you have left? And please tell me that you aren't a trailer queen.... that would explain the "half-nut" handle too.

Well, after 45,000+ miles this jeep has yet to see a trailer (prerunning the King of the Hammers was a close on) Although trailering ain't so bad, there have been a few really long distance runs it would have been a nice safety net to have (reference your "1970's big wheel jumping" random photos, I'm still living that lifestyle), so one of these days I am going to have a massive tow truck bill to pay.

About Colorado, brother I cannot wait to get back up to your state for wheeling. I was without lockers and a transfer case shifter cable the day we ran Carnage Canyon on the 2011 JKX. If I would have had lockers, I was going to manually put it in 4lo and tackle it. That trail is badass and I cannot wait to run it. Cindy piloted Moby up that canyon like a champ and it was cool to be a part of if with the crew! Eventually I will get back there.

The best thing about MTG's thread here, there are 73 other threads constantly going on within it
