The building of Bison

Per trainwreck’s recommendation, I installed evo adjustable sway bar links on the front and it leveled it right out. The fixed length links were causing the passenger side to get sucked down 1/2” regardless of the preload.

What size did you grab? I have two different ones sitting in a cart for two weeks now and haven’t pulled the trigger. Lol

I wish I could run a bed slide, but with the gooseneck, I can’t. I’m going to mount it right by the cab in the back of the box for now. Not ideal, but we’ll start there.

I thought I had seen some slides that were narrow, so you could go up each side of the hitch.

The safety chain tie downs are on the side. We need it more for transporting the dozen food to the cabin or the house in Moab. We don’t need a ton of access during the trip.

I put the bedslide in last weekend, loving it but certainly makes a 5th wheel useless lol, not an prob for me though. It used to live on top of the single good back seat which was ok but couldn't open it all the way. I think that will be a good spot, maybe tough to access but will certainly work

Bill, that thing is sweet, I really need to upgrade. I have mine hard wired to my truck and Jeep. I really wouldn’t want to go without now I’m used to it. But I really like the dual zone.

Yeah, once you have one, you’ll never dream of going back to a regular cooler. This ones too big for a Jeep unless you dedicate the entire back to it, but it’s fine for the truck. It’ll make these multi day, multi person trips a lot easier.

Cooler is wired and mounted. ARB is 3-4 weeks out on the tie downs so a straps going to have to work for Moab.

Next for Bison Heavy is a WeBoost cellphone booster and my ARB twin that was supposed to go into the scrambler, but it’ll be next season before that’ll be ready.

Is there a frame you bolt into the truck bed for a permanent mount?
