The Adventures of Fiona - '08 JK Rubicon 2-Door

I had a couple of issues as you know, one was with the PSC bracket, the way it mounted I ended up when I was full passenger I was hitting the bracket with the tie rod. Judging by the pic you may end up with the same issue. Maybe that's the angle you were talking about. When I mounted the ram bracket on the tie rod I turned full passenger with the ram all the way in and that seems to give me full range of motion.. Maybe that will work for you. You can measure the travel of the tie rod and determine how may inches travel lock to lock you have. hopefully the ram has the same travel.

Where the ram is currently sitting, it looks like it will be real tight on the diff cover when it is turned full left.

Good luck. I'm sure it will be great when you get it done
I think I'll be okay. The diff cover angles back pretty sharply at that point which you can't really tell in the photo. I will be keeping my eye on that for sure, though.

If the tie rod moves towards the back of the Jeep when steering, it should miss the bracket but the nut will definitely be an issue.

Here you go... The first pic is my old box looking at the side that would be facing the passenger side of the Jeep when installed. The second is the new box looking at it through the driver's side wheel well.

Wow. Hydro is done and she feels like she's got rack and pinion steering now! I can actually let go of the wheel at 80mph on a shitty road and she tracks perfectly straight. 🤯

I had to clearance the far passenger corner of the PSC axle bracket and the nut that holds the cylinder to said bracket as the Currie track bar was hitting both. I still have to find somewhere to check everything at full droop, but so far so good. 👍

After tonight, I have one more show and we have a TV show doing a recording on the 9th. After that... OFF SEASON... WHooHoo!!

I'm going to visit my aunt and uncle in Fort Myers, they used to visit here and their health just isn't up to it so I will go there.. I'll just be there a few days, back by the 6th..

I took her out to a local trail on Sunday to flex out the suspension... Heard a clunk when I crawled the driver's side up a rock. I couldn't find anything hitting at the time, so I kept moving along. Today I took some time looking for new paint scuffs on the steering links to see if I could figure it out. I think the bolts on the adjuster for the drag link may have been hitting on the tie rod so I spun it a little. Also the tie rod clamp for the hydro could have been hitting the same, but I'm not sure. Some days I really wish I had a forklift. 🤪

Put some highway miles on her today and I just love the way she feels on the road... Like driving on a rail with instant reaction from the steering wheel. I'm so used to slop in the steering, I find myself over-correcting... Something I'll need to get used to for sure.
