For the most part, Barnwell has off camber stuff. Nice little trails that will flex your rig out. again, nothing to crazy but nice enough to fully scuff and droop your tires. They have a rating system by diamonds from 1-4. Ive made it through all the 3s and 4s that i have tried without to much fuss. Rarely will you have to lock the axles but if you pick a hard enough line, you will have to. There will be nothing to worry about for everyone going, especially the newbies. I will try and dig up some photos and videos of the Barnwell trips ive taken when i get home.

here's everybody's friendly reminder to go pick up their OHV sticker if you haven't already. I will be hunting mine down either today or tomorrow after I go get my ears lowered :clap2:

I'm planning on stopping by the Honda dealer off I10 in Katy sometime next weekend to snag mine up.

Nice! That's my plan too! We have one in Tyler that sells the decals. Hopefully I'll get it sometime next week!

Sadly I'm still a maybe for this run, but as soon as I know I'll let y'all know. I hope I get to make it, seems like it's gonna be a good trip.

Same. I haven't been posting but I have been following. We probably will not know until the weekend before but I hope that works out with the planning.

I'm thinking hidden falls for that one! Maybe sometime during fall or so.

Asymptomatic as always. But when you look at the xrays it is obvious he is in pain and just hiding it well. Thursday is the day! Can't wait to get it over with.

Hip dysplasia. He is having a total hip replacement on his left hip. His right has it too but not as bad. We may not have to do surgery.

The xray is from last April but the current ones from this February (which I don't have) show how bad the arthritis is. They also how much his ball and socket are not together.

Yea it sucks. He will have a ruff 6 weeks post op. So unless the doc says he is good for a fair amount of activity we aren't gonna do this trip. Originally was supposed to be last month which would have been effect timing but they only do surgery once a month on the 3 Thursday. Oh well. Us 3 will be on most of the future trips!

sorry to hear about the pooch having a hard time, hope everything goes smoothly and he has a speedy recovery :thumb:

Just skimming back through, this is a list of all the Houstonians planning on making this run. If everybody wants to chime in on their availability, or preference I can mark it down. Figured this might be helpful for those who are making lodging arrangements (especially for Friday if we come up early)

Booked our room, the La Quinta in Longview is pet friendly. Per the front desk girl I talked to, "they aren't very strict" when it comes to enforcing the 1 pet of 50lbs or less rule.

I've stayed at la Quinta pretty much every BIG road trip I've taken, they never have a problem with my GSD, even when she "sings the song of her people" lol

I just drove by this hotel in Longview. It seemed pretty nice!!
