switch locations

Mannnn too bad electronics and I do not get along. Ill probably wind up mounting lights and hooking them up wrong so they light up when I turn my stereo on accidentally. :cheesy:

Good thing my brother is an electrician!

If you can follow direction you are good. I am a helicopter hydraulic mechanic and I did it. What also I did was test it out before actually installing it on Canvas. You can do it.

Maybe I missed this, but can the sPOD switch panel even be used with a Sport Cage installed? I like the location for switches up there, and want to fab a similar switch panel in that location. The cage is in build plan down the road, so I'm looking ahead for future conflicts.

I have ordered the parts to put together the Bussman fuse/relay panel, so that's a done deal. It's the sensible way to go in my book as I can expand on it and even configure it to do what I want it to do. I like the ORE switch panel, but no longer an option. Thanks.

Yes it fits fine. You have alot more room up there than you think. If you plan to run a cb up there, then its in the way. I just mounted a cobra 29 there on the kc tube clamp and had to run it more towards the back to clear the switches. The cb is kind of in the way, but doesnt bother me as I wont be using most of the switches much at all.

Yes the spod can be used with a rollcage. I believe you can order just the switch enclosure from them, since you already have the parts for the Cooper Bussman relay panel. Or you can get a Daystar KJ71034bk and modify your upper windshield trim panel like I did.

I believe you can use a the switch panel. I have the OR Fab sport cage and the one thing that I have not done is put the plastic back on. It will take some trimming to get the plastic covers back on. I say this because there is no real clean way to route the cable for the switches with out them sticking out like a sore thumb. Since I have a sport I chose to use the cubby area for my switches. Super! Thanks Pvan, I'm going to check out the daystar. Modding that would be easier than starting with a blank slate.:thumb:

Looks great, Canvas. You sir, performed a very clean install. I don't have that luxury though as I have a JKUR (No cubby :sigh::yup:).

Deffinitly hard to hide wires without the plastics, I cant get my side covers on so I used those self adhesive zip tie blocks to hold the wires which works well.
