switch locations

Are you not using a relay? Yes switch pins are top- ground (pin 7), middle- power in, bottom- switch out (relay input or connect to positive on accessory)

His switches are different than yours Will.

I may add a relay but i dont have a house for it unless there is one free in the OEM fuse box!

You can buy separate relay housings that have a pigtail of wires $5 each, but it is a lot easier to do as ^ Will suggested, and do the relay panel, so half the wiring is done with the panel. Fuses are built into the panel.
Much easier to plan ahead instead of adding as you go.

true but for right now till i have a couple things to run is it safe to just use inline fuses and go off the battery till i get the parts and look at it a lot closer and feel good enough top do it.

I can't answer whether that would be safe or not, without knowing exactly what you are hooking up, wattage of lights, ampere draw. Unless you know the draw is less than 5 amps, it is not safe without a relay.

$5 for a relay is a lot cheaper than replacing your jeep

ok they are just 12 inch led light strips, but rather be safe, can i add a relay with out a housing till i get one that i like?

you can use female insulated quick disconnects, .250" is the width of the spade on the relay.

AAAAAHHHH screw it lol ill just make the jump and order your list of stuff, lol what are the 50 amp breakers for 46351???

Prob going to need some big help to finish this one lol!!

the circuit breaker goes on the main power source wire, less than 18" from the battery. it is the main "fuse" for the system.

Congrats and good luck! take your time, test the crimps, solder, before you push the terminals into the panel. :thumb:

I went to my local after market stereo shop to get the power wire and inline fuse. I spend a grand total of $24.00 for 6 ft of 8G power wire, 50amp inline fuse, 8 ft of 18g 6 wire bundle.

Damn it they already picked it can i get the 50 amps some other place local???

^ there you go, thanks Sean.

and Noroad- start planning ahead for your use of the switches- you have 6 switches, but the relay panel is for 5.
use the 5 for the obvious heavy consumers of current draw- the 6th switch could be for a horn, or esp kill switch, etc.
