Someone just tried to assassinate Trump

Agreed.
Dissolve the USDA

I'm perfectly happy to have a USDA and I think we need it. It just needs to advocate for the people with zero influence from the people it should protect us from. Hell, I'd be happy if Kennedy brought in a bunch of hippes to run it.

Additionally, we really need to switch to regenerative farming & get rid of GMO anything. Health over profits. Ha, what a concept

There is such an amazing opportunity this time around for Trump with the folks he's surrounded himself. I just hope it doesnt get squandered. He needs to move fast on this & get shit in place in 2025 while the stars are aligned. I'd let Kennedy run loose & give Gabbard whatever job she wanted. I'm very curious what role Musk will really have

Why do we need a USDA? I’d rather that money goes to education of the masses and let them make decisions for themselves.

Musk said on Rogan there is 450 government agencies. Wild. His exact quote “there is more agencies than years this country has been around.” He could clean house and abolish most of those.

I think a department of agriculture should only exist at the state level. There is no federal mandate for a federal department of agriculture in the Constitution. This is exactly why we have 450 Fed Gov agencies, politicians at the Fed level took it upon themselves to create something that should not exist and we are stuck with the disaster. Anytime you centralize something it becomes oppressive and even more susceptible to corruption. Decentralization is the whole point of our United States. We need to focus on the state level of where each of us lives and let other states decide for themselves.

Here is the logic of the USDA as I am personally dealing with right now.

I can raise and sell 20,000 units of poultry per year with no regulation. Meaning 15,000 chickens and 5,000 turkeys or whatever quantities I want up until 20,000. At 20,001 I need to have inspections. Why?

I can sell a half/whole or quarter of a cow or pig and not need inspections at the state level. If I want to sell a single pork chop or steak I need to have that animal processed at a USDA facility. Why?

Traveling across state lines is a whole other issue. I can live on the border and not sell to my neighbor in another state without it being inspected. Why?

These government agencies are a joke.

I'm 100% for the states to have regulatory power and 100% for the fed to not have any - but there does need to be some kind of coordination between the states and thats also where recommendations, not laws, should come from. No federal agency should be able to pass any law or write any regulations on their own - that's congress's job, not any unelected official/agency's.

I still don’t see a need for the USDA. Nor do I think the government should have any control over what you as a person wants to consume.

Good examples of the stupidity in DC.

The states already have all the mechanisms in place to coordinate between them for a wide array of issues. They also have avenues to address grievances through legal means.

The unlawful regulations manufactured by Fed Gov agencies can best be addressed by shutting down those unconstitutional agencies. We need to go back to the actual way this country was intended to be run. Step one for that is knowledge.
