Not sure.
My questions are who would replace him in the house, he does a good job there. I would think there has got to be some experienced farmer that could step into that job- long enough to dissolve the organization and move all of its authorities back to the states. If Tennessee wants to sell unpasteurized milk they damn sure should be able to. We need to move as much back to the states as possible and greatly reduce the Fed Gov’s ability to meddle in our lives.

Agreed but no farmer is going to do that as they rely on subsides too much. You need a guy like this that wants it hands off to come in and get rid of the power and overreach of the USDA.

Agreed.
Dissolve the USDA and end subsidies. The reality we all must face is everyone is going to feel a little pain if we really want epic reform of the Fed Gov. For example no more fucking ethanol in gas which means no more subsidies for farmers who raise corn. If you can’t make a profit in a business the taxpayers should not be required to support you. The market will figure it out.

Don’t forget GMOs. They have plants that make their own pesticide. We are eating that plant, in turn we are eating that pesticide.

You shouldn't be buying your meat from a grocery store anyway. Its only in beef and lamb at that but there are plenty of other places to get it that is a lot better.

Nowadays that is mostly just large industrial farms owned by monsanto that use the GMO's. And corn and soy farmers for livestock feed.

Around here it is. We were at the store on Monday and they have chicken advertised with no hormones or antibiotics (which you can't give to commercial chickens by law anyway) for $4.99 a pound. We sell pasture raised, fully organic for $8 a pound. Our stuff is leaps and bounds better.

Then you eat the meat and are eating the GMO. Most grocery stores are buying vegetables from the larger farms that are using GMOs
