SLICKROCK Saturday Trail Run

The flat bills were me and my group, the ones respecting the trail.. Can't judge everyone :rolleyes2:

Yup! My son is 21, earns $60k/yr working 85-90 hrs a week, is in church on Sunday, will call you sir/ma'am , been 4wheeling since mom was pregnant with him, respects the trail, picks up extra trash, always willing to help, wears a flat bill hat....

Here is MTG going up the ladders, starting recording this right after he got some MAJOR AIR time. Missed it by just seconds.

Thanks for filming and posting that! :yup:

I wish somebody got a shot of the tires off the ground. I wasn't sure how high I was, but looking at you two right after it must have been a sight. :cheesy:

Maybe the flatbill is his way of rebelling, since he sounds like a good kid in everything else.

Just dont tell me his hat still has the tags and stickers on it. I actually heard a middle age guy ask somebody on the way to disneland on a hotel shuttle bus, ask if that was how you were supposed to wear his (middle age guy) new hat with the stickers and all. I just shook my head and kept my mouth shut. If you have to ask how to look cool, your not going to be. Flat bill or not, stickers or no. Now dont get me started on pulling your pants up.

Back to the pictures.

I MO, we were all young and cool a long time ago.....I think the issue is people trying to take over the trail. One time when I was there they built a wall of huge rocks to stop people from going on the ladder. That's not cool....

Ha ha ha, no tags, no stickers, it's not on sideways or backwards, pants are worn properly. He does like to wear certain branded hats and they only come in a flat bill.

Man I love Slick Rock. First trail with my brother in law and solidified my desire to get a Jeep. Sucks to hear about the yahoos, but I love the photos and video and can't wait to get back there! On a midweek trip tho...

Man, I wish I was cool once.

Looks like a great trip with great people. I envy where you guys live. Way back when I snow boarded people started congregating on sides of the slopes and it drove me crazy. This reminds me a lot of that. Irresponsible trail use is the number one reason they get closed. Or if they discover its the only habitat for the new 7 toed, 3 legged frog turtle fish they just discovered...haha.

I'm surprised they would close a gate on an open trail just for the fact that if god forbid there was an accident or trail break how could anyone other than a Ranger get to you? Sounds like maybe he just gave a pass since you were there but the trail is still closed.

Thats why I always carry my key with me..;)

Nice video Mike!
It took forever to get up that thing :)

Maybe you should have listened to the guy spotting you from the bottom. Then you'd have made it up first try..haha:crazyeyes:

Awesome pictures and videos. I am really tempted to try this trail...possible with two stock rubicon and no winch? Unless maybe someone wants to go up for Labor Day! ;)
