RAUSCH CREEK TRIP 10/26-10/27 (GREENS/BLUES with a touch of BLACKS)

No reservations needed for camping, Scott took care of that and it's 15 bucks per nite, don't worry about food, KPM171 has enough hot dogs for an army.
It's great that you are gonna be camping both night, you are gonna love it

At RC, you are going to be riding with us all day, there are bypasses by most you can do without..
As far as the CB it seems like a nice portable unit, but you still need the coax cable, antenna and mount.

Perfect!

So, unfortunately due to funds (who needs money, right?) I won't have a bad ass rig like you guys but I want to join the Wayalife crew at RC and be a part of this community. That said, I will be investing my money into quality recovery gear and armor before I invest in large tires and commit to my staged build. This trip I'll likely *just* have the CB and the strap...

And yea, I knew about the mount and coax and antenna. I'd just much rather not be a mobile shopping mall for thieves like my other jeep was. No desire to come out to a soft top with stab wounds cause some loser was too lazy to unzip me and take my nice CB. I'll just bring that inside, thank youuuu.

Looking forward to the end of the COUNTDOWN!

PS. You guys are a wicked supportive community. All the other Jeep communities I've seen on the web are LAME by comparison. :twocents:

Trust us, you'll be fine with your setup to do pretty much all the greens and probably squeak through 1 or 2 blues that we do. I was just as worried first time I went and no I can't think of missing a trip. Looking forward to meeting you.

Just confirmed my spare tire is at my house. Also, my order from Northridge will be here tomorrow. 7 days off to put my new parts on and do a little hunting

I live in a world of uncertainty and last minute decision. Lol I did see that my son Joel gave a maybe for Sunday. I'm trying to get a few things for my beast of a rig which may or may not effect my decision. If they come threw will I have the extra money to spend and if they don't do I save the extra 100$ buy not going and put it towards what I want to get. I hate dilemmas like this. I'm a patient man until it comes to the jeep and this crap drives me crazy. Especially reading all the posts of all the mods. I wish I would have bought the jeep before I bought my bike.:banghead::D

Sent from my SPH-L720

Through out my life I had 2 motorcycles, the first one on my late 20s was a rice burner 750 cc and later in my 40s a 1500 mean streak. I drove both like I stole them and I got away with murder, never drop them or accidents of any kind and now at 50 I sold the cruiser, bought a jeep and found myself writing to you.
I figured at this time in my life I would not want to end on a wheel chair or even dead..... Sell the bike and jeep on my friend :)

I have 245/75r16 Duratracs, no lift and only 2014 JKU stock armor. I'm gonna snag an ARB snatch strap and a CB... how much wheeling can I do on Rausch (I've never been)... or will I be more than likely bypassing everything.... and if the latter... WHO HAS A SEAT FOR ME TO RIDE ALONG? :cheesy:

I can't remember are you a 2 door or 4 door? If you're in a 2 door you'll be able to do just about everything that we do with your setup. If you're in a 4 door you'll be able to do most trails and if you do need to take a bypass there will usually be someone else taking the bypass too.

I'll be using majority of the bypasses.

CB hardware is on the way. Hopefully I can order the sliders within the next two weeks.:clap2:
Hell yeah!

You sir, are in luck. We are accepting applications for the Billet Silver Bypass Committee.

Wheelin' isn't actually that expensive if you don't break anything. $15/night for camping & $35 for the day of wheelin'.

I'm pretty sure everyone you ask will have an opinion on this. Stock, you should have an OEM t-case skid and an OEM fuel tank skid, but other than that you are a little exposed underneath and you'll smack those things on a rock before you get to your pinch seams imho. If possible, I'd do both. But given the choice, I'd get the armor underneath first.

What would you recommend in Armor beneath my rig since I already have OEM skids on my fuel tank and t-case?

This will be my second time going. If you tell me I can make it I'll give harder trails a shot
I did all the trails with my JKUR, BB(1.75" front .75" rear), stock tires. Except Yellow Jacket. You make your own call

MikeO was going to bypass a blue trail. I twisted his arm and he ended up being happy he went and with no difficulty. You just have to pick your line and try things out. If you get hung up, we'll get you out:thumb:
