Wait what... You can switch spring rates on the timbren axle less suspension? The trailer worked perfectly on its Maiden voyage. The solar system kept up with all our demands, charging camera batteries, lights and CB. It was a great test run. My suspicion of my clearance issues happened just as I thought. I’ve got heavier weight springs coming to fix that. So I’ve got it ready to switch out the springs.
I’ve found only a couple are compatible. Getting part numbers is a bit of a pain in the ass. But the 1200 lbs and 2000 lbs will interchange.Wait what... You can switch spring rates on the timbren axle less suspension?
Looking good... I think I just need to rebuild my fenders to clear the tires. What did you pay for the replacement spindles if I may ask? I'm assuming they are the timbren ones that just bolt right onto the trailing arm.The trailer is back on its wheels, with a new ride hight. Wail I was at it I got new spindle mounts and sucked the wheels in about two inches on each side. Now I need to trim the fenders back.
They are the Timbern ones. I believe they were right around $150.00 if I remember what the guy said right. They have a great product it’s just a bit of a pain getting individual parts. Have to go through a dealer who then orders it from them. But getting part numbers from their sales people can be frustrating. Persistence pays off though.Looking good... Really is a pretty sweet trailer. If you don't mind me asking, roughly what do you have into that? The trailer worked perfectly on its Maiden voyage. A lot of sweat and head scratching...but it was worth it...Really is a pretty sweet trailer. If you don't mind me asking, roughly what do you have into that?

Thank you! It did turn out nice. I lost track of hours and haven’t totaled the receipts. But it’s in the area of 4K now with design changes. I’m trading some of the extra parts for a tire swing out for it, so that’ll help offset a little bit.A lot of sweat and head scratching...but it was worth it...
You sure can't buy a trailer equipped the way you desire for that cost. Not bad! In my opinion.Thank you! It did turn out nice. I lost track of hours and haven’t totaled the receipts. Definitely came in way under buying a pre made one. That’s the best part of DIY projectsYou sure can't buy a trailer equipped the way you desire for that cost. Not bad! In my opinion.
Thanks!Looks great... Might have to copy your fenders, what Ga sheet did you make them from?
