Yes! I was desperate! GM motor...I should have known though. Carter is Ford.

Yep - if I had a carter, I may have tried an MC 2100. Being that this was a Rochester, I almost picked up a Holly 4-barrel but though, I would give this a try first.

Not much else left... Points condenser, coil, wires plugs, fuel pump. Love the simplicity of these old Jeeps.

If I'm not mistaken I believe that AMC used the a variety of the "big 3" back in the day. Therefore, I am going to have to guess Rochester, Carter or Holley. In that order. :yup:

I think it's a steering stabilizer.
