My Dozer

Had a pretty good day, that pole hill road was gated and locked. So drove down to Lyons I think and found a bunce school road, took some 216 road. Wasn't bad, didn't have any maps. Had downloaded maps for pole hill. Then drove back and relaxed at Mary's lake. Hopefully tomorrow we are going to look for left hand trail or castle gulch. Need to look them up.

You might bottom out your shocks with those rock stars.

Also thinking of adding ½" spacers on the rear. Pretty low in the back loaded up. I took some measurements, I think I have around 3" in back and close to 4" of lift up front.

Here is where I'm sitting with no load or passenger or driver. My front shock is raised ½".

Apparently this left hand and castle is pretty rough, also called upper carnage? Guess it's by or part of carnage canyon. Probably going to try Johnny park road.
Don't feel like breaking down alone.

Congrats on the anniversary and enjoy exploring in that area! You cannot go wrong. I am heading up to Ironclads this Saturday (over by Bunce School Rd).

Thanks! that's the trail we took. We started on bunce and took that 216 loop back to the 105. Really nice trail with a few obstacles. The locals called it Ironclad. I think that's the same as you're saying.

Yes it is the same.....Do you have your trip planned out or are you still looking at things to do?

I didn't want to do anything to rough because I don't want to die. (Wife would kill me if I break down alone). Probably going to try Johnny park road today. I don't know what else there is. Might have to do a run someday with others out here.

I hear ya.....And that is always a good thing to avoid. And I am sure you are aware of trail damage that will show you the trails in/around Estes. Really you just cannot go wrong with exploring up there.

And next time you wander to down to CO for some wheeling I would gladly join! There are some amazing trips further south in Buena Vista area that I want to do.

Colorado closed, locked up at 3 different trails today.:(
Johnny park, hells canyon and one other I tried.

Always upsetting to read about more trail closures. Hippies and people who tear up the trails are taking away all of the fun.

I don't know if it's closed permanently. I did read carnage canyon is closed permanently. Maybe to soon in the year? Kinda bummed.

Wow! First I've heard of that. I hope chinaman gultch isn't. It shares the same trail head.

Chinaman's gulch is open, just the carnage canyon section is closed. Be honest, I wouldn't take my jeep through there. That looks a little rough. Trying to get out again to Colorado this summer. Hopefully we can make it.

After extensive talks with overlander, I'm not sure if the evo rock stars are going to work on my jeep. Went to the poor man's rti ramp, couldn't get a good stuff, but close enough to measure again. The distance from the metal cup to bump stop and exposed shaft is the same. I would have to run 4" bump stops or shorter shocks to make it work.:(
Looks like the weld on skids are next, I'm happy with the stuff, droop isn't bad. But thinking I can make rock stars work on the white jeep with the factory shocks.

I was going to get them mailed out today but had something come up. I'll get them out tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

No problem, I think I can make this work with the factory shocks, and a budget boost instead of the adapters that go on top of the shock.

Best I have for now canvas. I would go with aluminum, they went weren't available at the time. Lighter, no rust, and probably easier to install. If I put corners on the white jeep, aluminum for sure. I'll get a top view soon.
