Mail Call - 1975 Jeep DJ5

I’m realizing how many tools I’m missing from my toolbox working on this thing. It’s a total pain in the ass without the proper tools and not soaking the parts in PB Blaster. 45 year old bolts are rather stubborn. Pulled the brake lines and no fluid came out so that’s good. Lol gonna have new ones made here locally.

Driver side (normal passenger side) knuckle is ready to drop but I don’t have a pickle fork and it’s stuck on there. Tie rod is pulled and drag link is ready to pull once I get the new rod ends.

This picture really shows how small the parts were on these things.

Some of the parts started showing up. Ball joints are in the boxes.

Hoping to be able to get more done this weekend when I have more time to work on it.

Productive morning. Got the axles broken down and pulled out. The bearings are in really good shape so I’ll repack and reinstall those. Need to order brakes and seals. I’ll get it cleaned up and install the axle back in tonight. Will install new ball joints on the spindles too.
