huh, don't see 40's, 60's, and coilovers mentioned in what defines a troll. I do see references to posting "off-topic messages in an online community" and elsewhere "deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion." Which this thread is full of and just about every thread posted these days. Troll is an overused word on the internet.

Your right that makes the op a troll for provoking my emotions implying those of us who bought a rubicon wasted our money, he also broke the rules by being here just to sell his crap that makes this whole thread garbage.. Therefore this is my last post on it :standingwave:

http://www.dsd.state.md.us/comar/getfile.aspx?file=11.14.02.02.htm

There are a couple of sections that they get you on with a long arm lift. Modified suspension components, and the fact that you change mounting brackets are the two catch alls. If you don't agree with that I would suggest you argue with the state of MD and not me. I didn't make the freakin rule, I am only abiding by it. In addition I rode with a fellow jeeper to a couple different inspection spots in the Aberdeen area when he was looking to get his XJ inspected (was willing to pay for one if he could). He came up with a goose egg. He was active duty at the time, so he figured out a work around

Adams Jeep dealership is the premier dealer in the area. They sell lifted jeeps and do inspections, and even they won't install a long arm kit. You internet know it alls can believe what you want. Fact of the matter is not a single one of you has ever or will ever drive into a MD inspection station. I'm the only one on here that has done it. I'm the only one that knows anything about this matter besides what is online. I could care less what you "believe". I'm not illegally modding my jeep just to prove to some numb nuts on a forum that it was in fact not allowed.

I guess you need to get some better lawyers in Maryland. Nothing in those code sections makes long arms per se illegal. The state would have the burden of proving that the installation of long-arms on a JK "affects vehicle stability." That's a fight I would gladly take on and win (I know a thing or two about challenging governmental agencies on the way they interpret and apply their own codes.) Among other things, the "stability" of a vehicle can be affected by the size of the tires and the height of the springs, but not really by the length of the arms (at least when we are talking about going from short arms to longer arms; obviously, shortening arms can negatively affect stability.) No engineer worth their salt is going to testify that a 4 inch spring lift on 35's with long arms has worse stability than a 4 inch spring lift with 35's on short-arms. Regardless, just because your inspection station tells you something is law, that doesn't make it so.

Fact of the matter is though, there wouldn't be much point to going with a long arm lift just to run 35's. If you were half as knowledgeable as you think you are, you would know this. Instead of ranting and raving about Maryland codes, you would have simply stated that you never intend to run greater than 35's so there was no point in spending the money to get a long-arm lift. Regular adjustable controls arms can handle 35's just fine and the benefits of a long-arm would be very minimal, if any.

A few more things, Mr. :asshat: , craptastic monotube shocks are far from the best thing since sliced bread (on road or off.) The dual steering stabilizers really take the cake though.

I see dual steering stabilizers on those blinger 12+inch lifted RAM's and F350's on 24" rims with MT low profile tires. That means they're good, right? Anyone with too many dollars and not enough sense like that, has to be right!

Now I am afraid to post anything on this forum. I might have bought the wrong part that looked good to me but will be bashed and told that I was stupid for doing so. I'm fairly new to the the forum and the jeep world and I signed up on the forum to able to have the ability to search for and get advice. Reason for only a couple posts.

If you have a build thread, I believe it's common courtesy not to go in bashing or being negative about a person's build. (Unless they deserve it)
But to just post here to sell over priced stuff is frowned upon.

I understand coming on just to sell but to start bashing the choices in the parts used. I know that some parts are better then others but that's when it all boils down to budget and personal preference. I just don't want to be told that the lift, wheels or bumper I went with is crap.

Start a build thread, I can almost guarantee nobody will do that.
Now if you start a regular thread in jeep tech saying one brand is the best lift, or one product is best, people might not agree and then you could have a argument on your hands.

If you come on here with a decent attitude and aren't trying to sell us said crap parts for more than they cost brand new, (ESPECIALLY if you've only got 2 posts and they are both trying to over sell some Chinese BS) then no one is going to bash you for it.

Basically, don't be a douche-nozzle and no one us gonna be an ass to you.

That really isn't likely to happen. Reason we chose to push the issue with the OP was because (1), he's only here to sell and (2), he was trying to get new prices for his added on mods. Oh, and let's not forget (3), attempting to brag about how much better built and capable his ride is compared to most everyone else's, including the owner of this same forum that he is a guest on. In my short time here I have seen how bragging about your wheeling skills or how your ride is better than anyone else's tends to lead to a short stay.

I I know that some parts are better then others but that's when it all boils down to budget and personal preference. .

it has been said before that ride is 100% subjective so a lift my be WAYY to firm for someones taste or not to bad to anothers. budget does play a big part into stuff as we all know. sometimes you just need to hold off for that extra few pay checks to be able to afford what you really want. trust me, you will want to pull the trigger really bad on a bumper because its cheap but it may not hold up to a light hit on a rock or even in a car crash. thats why a lot of people hold off till they can afford what looks good and is the strongest or one of the strongest bumpers out there.
