I dunno, I literally just got this push from my local news. Says the Park fire is now CA 4th largest and with just 24% of it contained.

Yeah it’s definitely huge but it’s been holding around that size for a few days now. The massive growth it had at the beginning from the high heat and winds have settled some. Fingers crossed.

California prevents them by making it almost impossible to insure your home if you don't live in the middle of a large city. This seems to be the logic there.

It’s getting crazy in SoCal. Fires on three side of me now. The latest “airport” fire started yesterday while at work. Has since made its way to the top and threatening lake Elsinore area on the other side.
