Out of the Tahoe Basin? There are more than two, but not much.

Yup, maybe 3 total out of South Lake Tahoe and 1 had been closed since the beginning of the Caldor Fire.

We went to Costco last night and the area around Fuji park was bustling with evacuees. In fact, I just saw on the news that Carson City's facility is full now and that people are being sent to the Reno/Sparks convention center.

Nah, no AC. Never gets hot enough to need it and typically, all we need to do is open the windows over night to cool things off. Close the windows by day and it stays nice and at about 70 inside. Furnace fan is what I need to be running but currently, I have a dummy thermostat and it can only come on with the furnace. I'm looking to change this.

The winds gave us about 2-3 hours of clear sky yesterday and it was nice. Of course, we're right back in the ashtray this morning

Yep. Sitting in my home office and I can't even see Mt. Rose now.

I looked into this wildfire last night, I guess it grew nearly 2,500 acres on the day we drove past it which doubled the size of the fire

Wow, sorry Jamie, what a bummer. We’ve been pretty lucky this far. There hasn’t been any big fires until the Park fire. Oregon seems to be the worst this year.

Our wind direction just changed over the past couple of days, it was coming directly from the west and the smoke wasn’t too terrible. I’m sure it won’t be coming this way for too long.

We've been surprisingly lucky so far and haven't had much if any smoke this summer and that's very very unusual for us. However, this morning, I could see it coming in from the north and have a feeling things are about to change
