You might want to tie it in to the top of the windshield frame. Otherwise you are likely to get some noise and movement of the frame. I still haven't figured out why PS skipped that step in product development.

I have a PS trail cage in my brute...you are right, there was a noise issue in the fitment with the freedom panels...it took a little extra work on adjustments until we got the noise to disappear...other than that, I like the cage.

I really like the looks of the PS cage too but the fitment issues make it a deal breaker for me. I have also heard about rubbing on full doors. Seriously, why they omitted a windshield tie in is beyond me. Back on my '09, I meticulously measured my windshield before installing the OR-Fab cage so I could get the windshield back to its exact OEM position. I had zero noise and zero leaks.

Top painted and installed...the entire interior, including the roll bars and top/freedom panels are sprayed with Line-X...no rugs, just hose her down & pull the plugs
