I knew these kill switches would add issues… did it start?Jesus!!! I just disconnected the kill switch and wired it to the battery…. No sparks. Winch works.
there's also an intelligent battery sensor (IBS) on the negative post (black box)
how much of a difference is between the nissan battery from the Jeep battery?
2024. I’ve had it 2 weeks.I knew these kill switches would add issues… did it start?
I just took a brand new grand Cherokee to the dealership recently for a battery issue. It was leaky battery. What year is it and is it under warranty?
Yes. It started with the Altima battery. But every damn check engine light in the world came on. The power steering pump wouldn’t even let me turn the wheel.2024. I’ve had it 2 weeks.
did you replace the auxilary?I put a new battery to test it and see if I needed a new aux battery too. Now the jeep is completely dead. Not even a door light will turn on. Nothing. I checked all the fuses. I don’t know what to do. I’m beyond frustrated.
good you were able to figure it out, blood pressure back to normal?I realized today I screwed up the wiring on the winch. All my fault for not reading instructions on the kill switch.
I got the jeep started. Hi pulled out the mega block fuses and #3 is bad. #4 is a spare. I wired it and she fired up. Jeep life ain’t for sissies, that’s for sure. lol.
It’s better… but I wouldn’t say back to normal just yet.good you were able to figure it out, blood pressure back to normal?
if it was me, I'd replace the IBS (intelligent battery sensor) on the negative post, look for signs where cables may have melted and are causing a short. I'd probably replace both batteries to be safe, definitely check the cables on the auxiliary battery. It’s better… but I wouldn’t say back to normal just yet.
Apparently "kill switch" is an appropriate description. It killed your battery.the metal fuses with the nut on the head on fusebox. Anyway.... I got everything to work. It was all 10000% user issue. I should have read the instructions on wiring the kill switch on the winch. I basically fried my battery. Oh well..... lesson learned. All good now.
