JawsIs this Jaws or the new Gladiator?
Like I said on post #10, the first thing I did was check the battery cables to make sure they were on tight and then checked all my ground bolts - the two on the frame and the ones on the fender just in front of the battery. After that and with no change, I pulled the main battery and checked my PCM connections as well as the leads on the auxiliary battery. All checked out.Certainly acting like a loose ground, have you checked for loose fuses, auxiliary battery?
Did my best to check what I could and so far, nothing looks loose.I agree. Or a loose harness. Something got jostled around.
HA! Moby has some issues of his own tooMoby in the corner just laughing, shaking his head and waiting for his turn to lead the troops to battle again.
Yeah, first thing I checked. A real pain in the ass.Every time I had a similar experience with my JK it turned out to be loose wiring on and to the battery. You say your connections have all been double checked. What about the battery itself? Internal injury from the rattle battle? Just spit balling since I am no electrical type. Ghost in the machine is a bitch.
Sorry, which one is that? LOL Been checking everything I could.Did you check the body control harness and its connections?
As I stated earlier, I only removed the top AFTER I had this problem and wasn't able to find anything obvious. Nothing is loose there.Wait, did you pop the top off the fuses and relays?
You may have shaken some shit loose in there.
Well damn, I do remember that. When you had this problem, did you have other issues as well or just light blinking? Our old 2018 JL had the same issue with the buttons blinking on and off. Turned out the switch module was defective. To correct the issue, the dealer replaced it under the factory warranty.
Yes, intermittently some functions did not work. For instance, the HVAC and heated seats would not turn on. Then after the Jeep sat for a while, everything would be fine.Well damn, I do remember that. When you had this problem, did you have other issues as well or just light blinking?
Okay, now we're talking. That's EXACTLY what we were seeing only, we have about 70k miles on the odometer so I don't think this will be a warranty fix LOL. Guess I know what I'll need to be ordering up. Thanks for the help!!Yes, intermittently some functions did not work. For instance, the HVAC and heated seats would not turn on. LOL - tell me about it! While I love the creature comforts, all the electronics and all that can go wrong with them leave me feeling a little uneasy.Well, glad to hear there has been a change in the right direction and things are clearing up. Still extremely weird. Gotta love computers. Imagine if you had a 4XE
Awesome, thanks! I have not given that one a look@wayoflife The BCM is behind the kick panel on the passenger side. Next to the disconnect harness for the door View attachment 417171
I decided to give it a try as well, removed my Tazer, updated it, reinstalled it and... things are actually looking a LOT better!! In fact, I'm almost afraid to get too excited because I really didn't think it was the problem. It seems the tazer was giving it issues, I need do update it and reinstall to see if this was the fix
when my infotainment unit kept trying to do the update, it screwed things up and took at least 6 attempts of failed updates before it finally quit trying to do updates. Thanks to this comment that piginajeep made on the battery replacement thread...

I should note that I do believe that part of the problem I was having is that my Infotainment system has been trying to do an update but every time it started to wig out, it'd get interrupted and that kind of made things worse. Whether or not Tazer was causing this, I don't know but I am cautiously crossing my fingers that things are better now.
Great news, it’s a start. It kinda makes sense, the tazer is basically changing a line code in the Jeep, if it’s trying to boot and keeps going out of sequence due to the tazer it won’t update. Thanks to this comment that piginajeep made on the battery replacement thread...

Yeah, makes sense for sure especially with all the updates that it kept wanting to do. I kind of wonder if the roof rack I have wasn't helping anything as it tends to block radio signa too. The only thing I don't understand is what caused everything to go nuts in the first place. I replaced both batteries back in August and never had a single problem. I only started seeing all the craziness after wheeling hard in the desert a few weeks back. As in, I'm not even 100% sure sure the problem is actually fixed.Great news, it’s a start. My thought anyways, and mine is worked all day today.
