Jackal01's JKU build

I normally save part of my second job money for the jeep every month. Being that the misses' birthday is the 26th and I have been dropping some serious coin on my rig for a while I figured I would use a couple months worth for her 2013 Mustang V6. Don't laugh...the V6 is rather impressive in stock form.

Bought her an axleback exhaust that I'll install this weekend. We haven't done anything to her car yet she always talks about wanting it to sound better and look a little cooler. Also waiting for some quarter window louvers to arrive. She believes the exhaust is it. I love surprises!

Sweet! That will be an awesome upgrade for the 'stang. [emoji106]🏻

What system did you go with? I'm looking at the Roush or Borla for mine, just not sure yet.

We think so! I bought it based on videos I watched while shopping. Trying hard to not have it sound ricey or obnoxiously loud...which can be difficult with V6s. But I showed her the videos I watched and she smiled big so hopefully this will be a solid upgrade!

Edit. She always said, "I want it to sound like a boat" meaning a boat with big, outboard motors. Lol. She understands it won't be 5.0 throaty but will get somewhat in the ballpark I think.

Man, I guess I'm gonna have to get me one of these second jobs ;)

Should match well with the 'stang :thumb:

How are you looking the CC Tire Carrier? Also, did you have the PS tire carrier before? If so, are you happy with the change or regretting it? Thanks. I tried to PM you but your inbox is full.

Did some recent work on the rig.

Rockhard cage front and rear, and spod. I'll do C pillars later.

I had an extra set of oem fenders that I recut for better lines. I still need to rasp the edges. On the way home from the updates above last night one flew off on the freeway at 2am...i wasn't about to turn around for it. Luckily I have a line on another one.

The Crawler Conceptz tire carrier doesn't have the ability to carry 8x6.5 so I ordered a custom plate to weld onto the carrier. Should be fairly straight forward.

New mirrors. I made my own plates to cover the oem holes in the doors.

Dirty Dog cargo net. It's the only picture I have. We had a showing on our house hence Zero in the very back and Chewy being curious on the bench.

This thing is a dream to drive now. Acceleration is fantastic. Braking is substantially better. Cornering is more stable. Absolutely love driving it now. Many thanks to Granite Head.

To do:
Install hydro assist.
Redo rear deck as going with carpet was a bad decision. Gonna herculine it.
Get a rear view camera for full time viewing.
Install RK track bar (on order) as mine is shot.
Update the tire carrier to accept new wheels.

Almost Exodus ready!

Wow you've been busy. What are the silver knobs by your seat? And what's the black thing in the rear seat cup holder?
The knobs are for the lockers. Pull up on the bottom ring then moving the knob forward or back engages or disengages. No air. No wires. Just a physical cable from there to the locker. Front is front locker, rear is rear locker. Best part of Ox is if the cable breaks they provide a tool that will allow the locker to be manually engaged or disengaged at the diff. No matter what the locker can be controlled.

The black box is the brain for the rugged radio. It can either be remotely mounted or combined together. I like less clutter up front hence going remote.
