Any updates?
Moby's probably still getting steroids pumped into him.
Any updates?
Random thought I had. Will you still be able to use the Superchips Trail Dash that you have for Moby with the new engine?
Eddie and Mel are at the SEMA Show this week so probably not much going to happen with Moby until probably after Christmas. Hoping not but that might just be the reality.![]()

No. I have asked if I could get it to reprogrammed to work with our new LS but, they didn't recommend it. Fortunately, it will now work on our 2012 so, that's where we will be installing it.
Scared to ask, but what is the pricetag for an LS swap?
We are Jeep..Resistance is futile..

I'm not sure I would like to wait this long to have it done. I mean if it was my only Jeep. They are also having a lot of little issues that I would think Motech would have resolve before releasing a swap kit. Is Eddie and Cindy guinea piggy this for them and us?
I am not sure why they are having issues that they are. I have seen alot of Motech kits being done in our area and we are currently putting one in now for a friend. They make excellent kits. Takes a while to get them, but it works out nice.

Might have something to do with CA emissions maybe. IDK

Honestly, my patience is running thin and it would have been done a long time ago had it not been for the fact that I do have other Jeeps to play with.
Really? RESQ1 has had nothing but problems, Moochie here on the forum has been working through problem after problem. I can tell you that we've already installed and replaced several revisions of the kit including one that replaced the entire controller and that was even before we got the motor fired up. The craziest things is, we have physically looked under the hood of a couple of other Motech kit JK's including one with a 6.2L and they don't even look like what we have. As of now, the motor starts but runs like crap and goes into limp mode, the temp sensor didn't work and we were told to just cut one of the wires in their wiring harness - seemed crazy but, we did and the temp sensor worked but now the tach has no signal. The wiring under the hood looks like a mess but we're being told to just shove everything back inside the loom and call it a day. At this point and time, we'll be shipping Moby out to Motech and let them figure out the wiring/programming as it appears to be something only they can figure out. An "excellent kit" is one that comes out of a box with numbers and an easy to follow instruction set that tells you to bolt X to Y and plug wire A to B. The only kit that I know to do this is the AEV kit but of course, we wanted to run an LS and this was the best out there. To be fair, we knew we would be running into problems like this when we decided to buy the kit but from the get go, we knew it was more of a "good idea" than a "kit".
Bummer EddieHope you get it all squared away soon. miss seeing Moby in pics and videos.
I hope so too. Granted, a lot of the down time we've had was due to the transmission and unrelated to the motor swap but, it's almost been a year since we've had him in our hands. :grayno:
