HOME SECURITY CAM - What do You Use?

That's freaky to have people show up like that. I have 6 of the eufy cameras. Overall I think they're great. I love that there's no subscription. They are really good at human detection.
The one closest in frame came around the corner and disappeared right back. I came out with pistol in one hand and mag light in the other. They were a couple doors down so I shined the light on them. They took a look and stepped up pace. Made sure nothing was missing or broken. Looked and saw them at a house that's being remodeled several doors down. Shined on them again and they went from site. Came in and called dispatch, they informed me city pd was already out with 3 juveniles on the road. Not my preferred way to have an evening go. I'm really glad to hear you still like your cameras. Good peace of mind

Eufy marked down for black friday week sales on Amazon. 140 for the s340 with solar. Everyone still liking their cameras? Seems like a good deal to pull the trigger on one. One to start anyway. Recently had some people walk up on my property. They peaked around the corner and my nest doorbell caught them. Definitely looking hard at cameras now.
We have some Wyze cams, they have good image quality, but that’s it wouldn’t recommend them. Sounds like the Eufy line works well.

I have three of them at home and installed one at our place in Santa Cruz where our daughter lives. No issues. If you can do solar, that’s been great. A couple of ours are underneath patios, still good.

Damn, that's a good deal right there. May have to pick another one up myself LOL
No kidding. Tactacam has some too on various ebay sellers. Just looked, eufys website has same deal. There's a code half way down.

Hung my s220 today. Parents got it for me for Christmas. Daytime pu ture is really good. Hoping it's going to get the sun i thought it would. Can't wait to see night picture. Set up motion zone but it's gone off outside it several times. Have to learn how to get it to calm down.

Ever since I hung it it's set off for every vehicle that drove by, even with sensitivity all the way down. I sent an email to Eufy and they seemed to think the motion sensor was faulty so sent me a replacement and got to keep the old one. Moved it out back where it's less of a concern and new one out front. Changed the angle a little but have had no false motion notifications since. Their customer service seems to be really good. Now here's hoping they get enough sun but really happy with them

Anyone use their doorbell? Been considering ditching my nest since the price for their subscription is a out to go up.
I have been using the eufy doorbell for over a year and it has been so much better than the ring I had before. No doorbell on the house and the battery on this one usually lasts around 5 months.
Eufy doorbell here too. Love it. I got the one with dual cameras so it can see person straight ahead and package straight down.

I looked at that dual camera one. We had a wired doorbell when we moved in so I could actually wire the eufy up and never have to worry about charging it. That's how my ring was set up and the nest currently is. The Google home subscription is about to go to $100 a year 🙄 wish I had known about eufy before I bought it

Yes been using the doorbell for about four or five years. We have it on the side door by the garage which wasn’t wired for a doorbell so the battery one was the perfect solution. Still works great battery lasts a long time.

If you decide to get the same one I have, it only works on a 2.4 ghz wifi connection. If you can see that on your network, you're good. In my case, I had 2.4 but couldn't see it. The internet company had "hid" it so I didn't have a bunch of networks popping up on my phone. I called my internet tech support and the guy was really smart and friendly and he was able to fix it over the phone. Just an FYI.

I appreciate that. My current nest only works on 2.4 and I didn't have any issue with it, that I recall. But thats been a year ago and I've slept since then. I have some smart plugs that only work 2.4 also so I think I'd be alright. Looking at the e340. It's 119 right now. I like that it has a battery but can also be hardwired.
