Hinrichs build

Did you prep the surface at all with primer, or just clean it? And I don't know how far up to paint... There is a point on the front where the fender blends into the body, so I'm not sure how far up to paint... I'll post a picture of what I'm talking about in a bit...

I didn't use primer...I used a wet towel and "cleaned" the surface though. Sprayed everything on the rears. Matched the fender line to the pinch seam (which is also black) on the front.

Here's a pic of the front. Where did you paint and where did you leave it body color?ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1363279805.571506.jpg

Had a fun time when I stopped home for lunch, my half doors showed up and of course I had to test fit them before I went back to work. Really wish I would have just gotten half doors when I got my jeep. Wanted to get some oem ones but couldnt justify the cost of them being unpainted. The strike force doors are very lightweight and have extra storage inside which is very nice. I added the rugged ridge mirror delete plates which one fits well and the other like crap. Not sure If its the plate itself or just the way the door was drilled for the mirrors. They do accept oem mirrors which I may run but I feel without them it will be easier to store these in the back if I end up taking them off at the trails since they would lay flat. Fitment is good, may mess with them a little to see if I can get it to be any better. I also am not sure how well these seal so I will have to be careful doing water crossings.

looks good. for the leak concern you can take a hose and shoot it straight in at the seals and see if you get any water in.

may have to try that after messing with them a little more and when its warmer, also missing a small piece that I have to double check for when I get back home, prolly missed it in the box. Makes the latch fit better

Like the doors! Looked at them myself, but they are a grand for 4!

Looks great! :thumb: I'm looking at these and the RR ones.

thanks guys. yeah they are expensive, but the oem being 1300 for the fronts with no windows it was a no brainer for me.

Just did a floor jack flex and doesn't seem like I'm getting a lot, running to work shortly tho to use a fork lift to really test it out. Wondering if my bumps are too long

Here is one from the other day tho on a small rock

Yeah was disconnected but when I checked it was compressing the bumps good, I'll have some pics in about 15 min. The ones in are the teraflex extensions
