Hinrichs 2.0

I know you got your bolt-ons used. Did you end up with the sway bar relocate bracket?

But like Coz said, could also be the timing rings. As my springs settled the ride got rougher, due to the rings almost being bottomed out. They never made any banging noises though.

Here's the only pic of mine that you can see the relocate plate. I'm not even sure you can install these without moving the sway bar back...but it's a guess

Loud bangs again on the way home from dinner, wish I knew what was causing it, deft from the rear.

Does it happen over bumps? Like could you have a buddy jump on the back of the Jeep while you inspected underneath? Or is it something more related to axle/power train?

EDIT: Just re-read a few posts back. DOES happen over bumps. Hope you locate it.

Bigger whoops as I would call them it rides fine it seems, but other shorter bumps it's harsh and bangs.

Seems to me it's the passenger side.

Nothing worse than trying to track down a noise. I had one similar in rear and it ended up that I forgot to tighten the upper shock bolts down all the way on one side. I hate to be Mr. Obvious
cause you know what you're doing, but did you check all your bolts?

And I don't mean to be picky but you may want to put a rubber hose/wear sleeve over your brake lines...

I am going to try and check the bolts tonight once I get home from delivering parts. I tightened everything as good as I could in the upper and lower mounts, especially since the coils use another top plate and bolts to really secure everything I wouldnt think they are loose but who knows. I asked my buddy about it and he thinks its the nitro pressure which could be right as well. These do have around 11k on them from what Russ told me and I have wanted to check what they are at, just keep forgetting when I am at his shop and not sure if he still has everything to check it anymore.

I will order a tank and all that if needed...actually can prolly use the small one from my kegerator since thats never used anymore, or just go buy a bottle from airgas. Just wanst trying to spend 400 or so that I will need for the nice gauge and all to work on these yet.

Brake lines are being relocated soon but I will prolly put a hose on there for now to protect them more.

I will have to order one of those gauges. I did borrow my friends nitro tank however which he uses all the time without the fancy gauge so I will just be going off the regulator pressure for this time till I get my own setup.

Jim did you install the rear bump stop pads on backwards? it could be hitting the track bar bolt on up travel.

Well Andrew was right, in away. While I had each corner raised up and I was double checking the pressures in the stocks and bumps, I noticed some fresh metal on my home made rear extensions. Pass side is hitting the track bar bolt. Feel in a way they are a little tall or i need to add a little more preload.

Terrible pic is terrible.

Great news that you found it! Did you cut them on an angle? The bumps from EVO are cut on an angle, and bolted with the angle facing forward. This provides the clearance. My guess from memory is the angle is about 10*

I did finally find my short antennae tho finally last night, I play very good games of hide and seek with myself anymore.

How do you like that antenna, what brand? All the ones i see have reviews with shitty reception and i think reception is bad enough already between Morgantown and up 176 to reading.

I have that antenna and it's good. The reception is obviously less than the stock antenna but it gets decent reception still. The brand is antennax and you can get it on amazon for about $15

Can you get a grinder or plasma cutter in there or will you have to relocate it?

I will cut it tomorrow, got home too late and don't feel like working on it anymore. These are home made extensions. I did make some angled ones but wasn't happy with how they looked so just made it super simple and cut these out. I wanted to make them a little better and now that I have some marks from where exactly they hit the bumps I will be good to go and make them perfect.

Sweet. Don't forget to add your death wobble gussets. Especially important on the rear axle. :D
