End of Summer - East Coast Uwharrie Run

I'm trying to convince some friends to go. But looks like it'll be me and my girlfriend. Anyone else going from down in the tampa area?
 
Just talked to the Park Ranger for the Uwharrie National Forest to ensure that there wasn't anything special we needed to do for the size group we have. She said that because it's not a paid event, we wouldn't need any permits. She did say that July and August were typically rather hot and usually not very crowded. That's definitely going to help with our group and also solidifies my decision to go the hotel route versus camping.

Really looking forward to this trip and getting to meet everyone.

Agree! Acclimatizing to hot does not even come close to AC!

Ditto on the excitement level for this trip! It's all I've been thinking about. Just finished up what my tight budget will allow for regarding mods in prep for this. Feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of being hot when I'm trying to sleep.

And hell, I'm not even going to have a Jeep for this run and I'm still excited for it!

Following the thread it seems that this has gone from a small get together run to a huge run full of adventure and so many people getting together to do what they love

I'll be keeping a watch out for pics and more updates keep it up and going everybody I can see that this is gonna be out of this world
