Dash Electronics FLIPPING OUT on Our Jeep Gladiator

So, it's been a few days now since I've dicked around with the wiring and... I'm happy to say everything is still working!! Passenger side rear turn signal is still good, no more errors on it, no more blinking center stack, no more issues with the infotainment system, no more radio cutting in and out and no more problems with climate control. The only problem I've still been seeing is the TPMS not reading the passenger side rear tire.

That said, I went to see if I could find anything obvious or even not so obvious and the first thing I noticed is that the TPMS receiver was not located on top of the cross member as I was expecting but then, that's because we have the EVO gas tank installed. Where I did find it was on the driver side frame rail, close to where it would have been from the factory and secured in place with a couple of self tapping screws. However, when I went to check the plug connection, I found that it just pulled right out and without any effort - NO BUENO

Needless to say, the locking tab on the plug or the locking clip on the receiver was broken and being that it won't stay in place firmly, is probably why I'm having problems. Anyway, I tried my best to secure it in place, went for a test drive and now, I'm seeing this...

Yup, both passenger tires are now showing as a no go

So the good news is, I think I've definitely found the problem with the TPMS and that it appears to be totally unrelated to the other problem I was having. The bad news is that I ordered a new receiver hoping that the problem is with locking clip on it but I may or may not be able to get it before my next run. Fortunately, I can always just turn off TPMS with my Tazer and just roll old school style and fix it later.

Can you wrap a zip tie around it to keep it in place?

zip ties are for pussies, gorilla superglue it in place then wrap duct tape around it for good measure 🤪
Glad you found the issues, maybe some dialectic grease and zip tie can hold it together for now, but if tazer will work too that’s obviously all you need!
Yeah, I tried that - both dielectric grease and a zip tie and it didn't hold or at least, not well enough. I actually kind of wonder if maybe water got in it too and caused problems. Either way, they're only about $100 so I ordered a new one to see if it would help. Can't tell for sure but hoping the problem isn't on the wiring harness end as that would be harder to fix.

Yea makes sense, I hope so too!

i didnt see you mention it but what wiring did you mess with in the rear? was it the stuff above the fuel tank on the wiring along the passenger side frame rail?
