The opossums have done a great job eating copperheads, I have not seen any snakes in years. He was pretty chill and was really easy to get out of the cage. I let him have the remainder of the cat food as a consolation prize.

I was up early and decided to take the thermal out in the woods to see what was lurking. Found this clown in a trap. That dot on the ground is the heat signature of his saliva. Nasty little fucker.

A friend of mine in AZ would often discover his morning newspaper wet. He would walk out headed to work and grab his paper off the driveway and drive in. He thought it might be the morning dew or that the paperboy spilled something on it. One morning he left an hour early and saw a coyote peeing on it.

Another night on the deck with the thermal just having fun. Sun barely went down and there was quite a heat signature moving in the woods. Went out to investigate. Earliest I've ever caught one of these. Pretty exciting walking up on him with a thermal in the dark. I was very hesitant hoping it wasn't a skunk.




Here he is under flashlight.




We let him go to enjoy his night. Plus I've got plenty going on and didn't want to deal with him.
