Thanks man and not sure if I have said anything about my plan or not honestly but ill be honest I dont have much of a plan yet lol. Ive talked to a guy that made clearance by stretching the rear 2inches. My axle is already supposed to be a inch back because of the RK long arm. So my thinking is if 2inches will do it a inch and a sledge hammer will work lol. If that doesnt work ill ether put a 2dr gas tank in it like artec suggests or put a full cell in the back.
Great to see this progress Scott, congrats on the future upgrades...!
Awesome to see the axles are coming along!
Break out the BFH!
Hey Grub I love the axels! Now I might have missed it already but what are they off of? And will they be put on your JKU? Just curious because I really want to do some upgrades with my axels and I'm trying to debate whether or not to save up and get a PR or just go another avenue.
Thanks man. I cant tell you exactly what year truck they came out of but they are out of a 05 to present f250 or f350srw. I do believe in 2011 or something like that started putting some elockers in the rear of someone of them, however mine is not one of those. These will be going in my JKU using the Artec mounts. Personally I really like the PRs but I dont see spending the money on them when I can do it much cheaper.
EDIT: Its also worth mentioning you can use the 99-04 f250 or f350srw axles as well but if you were to go that route you would have to make sure you get a d60 front and not a d50. A good bit of those were d50s. I do believe in 03 there was no more d50 but no promises on that. I also will say they are hard to spot the difference unless you know what your looking at because they share the same housing.

You should also mention how wide this thing is going to be! [emoji23]
But if I remember correctly, stock axles are around 65" wide. The Super Duty axles are around 72-73" wide

Scott had said with 3.5" BS wheels, it was going to be about 7.5-8ft wide with his 40s.
Definitely not 7.5-8ft more like 6.5-7ft

My numbers were based off of what Scott said, so don't shoot me. But, if the axles themselves are 6' wide, I'd say 7+ is very possible. Maybe I'm not thinking correctly here.

I'd say he will be a little over 7 feet, if he gets to 8 feet he would be about to wide for a lot of trails I would think
Well my thinkin was 72" if what I'm sayin the width is with a 3.5 BS you get 7" added which is 79" from wheels edge to wheel edge (I'm personally going 4.5 which makes it 81") then you could say the tires stick out 1.5" outside the wheel making it somewhere around 82" wide (if I buy the same tires and my wheels are as wide as scotts it would make them exactly 7ft) so I guess it could be 7+ but you'd need some wide as tires or more BS obviously
Yeah that might be just a little wider than I was planning but I'll figure something out. Hell a 7+ ft width might not look bad on a stretched 2 door... Then again it would probably look ridiculous
