That will be fine. It must have been too heavy for the mail carrier. ( Just kidding. All you mail carriers have been doing a great job under trying conditions. )

Good question. Originally, Susan planned on a straight through drive by leaving zero-dark-thirty for the meet up in Utah. Now she's rethinking the time in the Jeep after our road trip. She will make up my mind sometime before we leave and I will let you know.
Right now, I can tell you that the convoy and pit stop in Las Vegas is looking mighty good after spending time on the 99 to get home on this last trip.

OK. Susan likes the convoy/pit stop solution. But...Susan checked the Silverton and there are no rooms available. We are getting a room across the freeway from you at the Hilton Garden Inn. A tad pricey but within CB, race radio, telephone range so we can co-ordinate with you.
Also, it is a Friday and that is the heaviest day for traffic to Las Vegas. What time were you thinking of leaving? The I-15 gets progressively worse after 10 a.m. until it comes to stop and go accordion driving after the I-210 up and over the Cajon Pass.

Owing to my tendency for road rage and lack of patience around crowds, we are going to make it out to Vegas on our own at an earlier time. Barring unforeseen circumstances, we will meet the main group at the Silverton for cocktails/dinner and lively repartee before returning to our hotel for the night.

I still carry a wheel gun as a backup. You never have to worry about whether it's going to go "bang". The hats, Wild Turkey, and cowboy guns is a good look for this trip.
