Build of my JKU

This is sitting at ride height and I still cant get bolt in through backside so I tried a smaller bolt. The lower I droop the worst it covers eachother. Also if the lower control arm rotates to its left the bolts bind up on eachother at droop. I have the lower arm twisted as far right as it can go in this picture.

Looks like the only option is to drop arms to get bolt in and even grind a little off each head to assure clearance.

Thinking about cutting off pinch clamp off a-arm and moving backwards so the bolts don't aligned with each other.20210323_201110.jpg

Or put that welder to work and burn on some long arms!

what if you remove the CA.... flip the shock bolt and remove the washer.... then re install the CA. That would gain you at least a 1/4" probably.

Like Kirk says, remove the control arm bolt, flip the shock bolt, use no washer on this side. Mine was that tight. It takes 30 seconds to pull the control arm bolt and put it back in. Doing only one at a time, they line right back up.

A set of shock relocation brackets might do the trick

ETA: They might make the shock sit a little better too

I'll try and give ORE a quick call and see if they recommend that. I did that on the stock and pr44 axle but didn't think it would be needed on 60s. That would definitely fix the problem.

Im just gonna flip the bolt and drop arm if anything and move on.

It's really refreshing having people like Mel in the industry. I called for a simple question and did not want to take more than a minute or two of his time but he was gracious enough to go into detail and ask about my setup and tell me tricks and pointers to help dial in the rig faster. That is a person and company I will continually support and recommend!

Hey Alan, have you thought about flipping your lower control arms so that the adjustment end is at the frame? Could take off both lowers, flip 180 deg and mount on opposite sides of Jeep.
