Build of my JKU

Those are nice wheels from what I remember.

I really was bummed I couldn't get the Chamber Pros again but after I got these mounted up I loved them.

Big thing is if you get machined/polished aluminum wheels, take them to get powder coated clear before you do anything else. Trust me on this. Even mud will etch them and they'll eventually get dull and shitty looking. I took mine to get done as soon as mine came in. After a year on the Jeep they still look brand new.

My old Chamber Pros started to look so bad I just had them powder coated satin black & threw on the JL

The downer with trail readys for me is the 3/8” thick ring. Much prefer the 1/2” thick ring of the ATXs and KMCs. The trail readys do look great though.

Yeah, the rings on the ATX/KMC's are much beefier. I do wish the TR's were thicker but I do prefer the slimmer diameter vs the ATX's now that I've had both. I can see the possibility of needing to change rings after a couple good years of hard wheeling.

Wow...TR Forged $889 per wheel.

After the first of the year is fine I’m in no hurry. Actually mid end if January would be better still need a transfer case for it. Waiting on a frame for the TJ to come in too.

If trail ready builds their wheels half as tough as their bumpers they will last forever

I did not know you had a 72 wide axles...Nice... Is the 68.5 gonna be a problem on 40s with 4.75 backspacing you.

It all depends on the turning radius you’d hope to get. The wider you are, the tighter you can turn before you rub. It will depend on how you set up your steering, stops, and ram size.

I forgot to add I will include the front King steering stabilizer with the the PR44. I am thinking 5300 for complete front.
I'm thinking $2500 for complete stock rear 44 with new Carbon shafts and with 5.13s.
Methods Wheels and and just maybe the 37 Coopers for 1700 together.

I sold my fusion 60 SFs for about that, so that might be a bit high, but see what you can get.

So, I keep reading while researching the UD60's are less expensive but seeing they go for about 14-15 K for a set. Did they raise there prices lately or where they always around that price?

I’d guess the price went up like it did on everything this year, and every year it seems. A guy from here (Ft Wayne not Waya) that I met had driven up to AMW and got UD60s cash and carry for 12k if I recall

One of the reasons I decided against them first. For virtually the same money I was buying custom axles.

Those look very similar :thumb:

I found a shop close by that has the wheel machine to do a resurface, going to take the worst wheel in for a test, if it doesn't work out then off to power coat

That place in Fontana had the UD60s for 11 or 12 for the pair. Not sure if the still have them
